Re: Osho - best crosser of the ball at the club. Discuss.

History suggests we probably need two serious options at each full back position. I don’t know - genuinely - if Bowen considers Watson and Araruna serious options, or if we have enough midfield options to use Rino there. As for left back, I’m sure the same three players could cover there (and if no...

Re: Speculation - loans from the Premier League

Judging by twitter it feels like I am the only one who though Chabolah the younger looked like a good player when he played us.

Re: Squad for 2020/21

windermereROYAL I see Leeds are interested in Ben White and WBA for Shane Duffy, both Brighton CBs, wonder if they might want another punt at Liam Moore, pretty please.

Leeds are not getting Ben White.

Re: Squad for 2020/21

£4m is not a lot for Chelsea but they see it as a cheap punt in the same way we saw someone like Nicky Shorey. If he makes it, he's a bargain, otherwise they loan him out for 3 years so his wages are covered and then flog him and recoup the transfer fee. It's a deal with almost zero risk for them. ...

royalp-we About level with Sam Baldock in that case.

And you think having 2 Sam Baldocks is a good idea?

At least the one we have is on less money, doesn't cost anything to sign and puts a shift in reliably.

Foriestieri is close to the worst signing we could make.

Indeed. Please see my second post.

About level with Sam Baldock in that case. And you think having 2 Sam Baldocks is a good idea? With one being on twice as much money? Even if they were both on Baldocks current wage it would be too much. Staggering that he is trying to defend signing him. After all the talk of wages and turnover an...

Re: Rival Watch

Foriesteri is the definition of a player who doesn't consistently perform. Bags of talent, lots of injuries and frequently loses interest according to my Weds fan chum. And both him and Knockaert would certainly demand big wages. As for Downing, exactly the sort of signing we should avoid. Former b...

Re: Rival Watch

Shoot me down and I will no doubt will get a load of grief but a player like forestieri or knockaert are the type of players who consistently perform for teams in the top half of the chump. As it stands, we lack those types of character and we’ll be very lucky to make mid table (which I’d be happy ...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

If you look at the CBs we've let go it's depressing. Hector, Morrison, Cooper. And in their place we've had Moore, Ilori, Blackett etc. Think it’s a bit harsh to say we “let” Hector go. When Chelsea come calling you’re not going to be able to really hold onto that player. Also didn’t Morrison go to...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

Buyback clauses are not allowed. I believe you are allowed to have a clause allowing you to match any bid made but you can’t fix a price and a guarantee that you can be the buyer. You also have to factor in that there are 3 parties to a transfer and the player has to agree to move and agree terms s...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

True. It’s would be great to live in a world where we bring through plenty of talent they become first team regulars and that’s the basis of our team but we don’t, how long do you stick with an academy player just in case they become good? Or as you say keep them on the books, hardly play them and ...

Re: Rumour - Olise to Leeds

Not sure we’have ’ to say yes, and of course what the ‘right’ money is could vary massively depending on who you are. It’s frustrating that there seems no guidance on FFP as if we knew what the rules will be we could make our plans accordingly. In any case Olise is the one I would be absolutely loc...

Re: Rumour - Olise to Leeds

‘Another’ ? Have I missed something ? Don’t think it would be a good move for either of them. He’ s not ready for the Prem and he’ll do better than Leeds in a couple of seasons. Would be interesting to know what sort of money they think would get him given they are so keen to ‘take advantage’... Ye...

Cooper was clearly a good player though. You'd expect the mistakes to improve over time with the correct coaching and guidance. Definitely one who I thought we should have invested more time and effort in Trying to remember the timelines, but I think we loaned him to Millwall, where he did well and...

Absolutely. Goals in the Championship are the hardest and most important thing to come, it's why clubs always used to sign Kevin Phillips for a promotion campaign. But sure, Ross McCormack is the highest scoring championship player and he has never been promoted. Goals may be important but never sh...

Re: Osho - best crosser of the ball at the club. Discuss.

Sigh. Araruna and Watson. Isn’t Araruna a midfielder & the same Watson who hasn’t been anywhere near the first team in years? Personally I wouldn’t call them backups Ok, well if you want, but they're both in the first team squad and that's basically like saying We've got no strikers, except the...
