Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Had an interesting chat with a friend who is close to an U18 manager of a Prem team and he said that they really are not particularly bothered about results of the games they play - instead everything - the games, training, etc. - is geared towards developing the 1 or 2 individuals who they think c...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Nottingham Forest (a) sponsored by Neil Webb

Out of interest, why are we going to 100% lose? At home: Wigan went there and should have won Middlesbrough went there and drew when they were on poor form They struggled to a 1-0 victory over Barnsley having 1 shot on target the entire game They lost to Hull and Cardiff They got thumped 4-0 to She...

Decent draw for the U18’s today 1-1 at 2nd in the table West Ham . Abby scored the goal Had an interesting chat with a friend who is close to an U18 manager of a Prem team and he said that they really are not particularly bothered about results of the games they play - instead everything - the game...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Nottingham Forest (a) sponsored by Neil Webb

100% going to lose tonight, cannot see us getting a thing at Forest. You will then get the same bellends having a go at Bowen et etc. Out of interest, why are we going to 100% lose? Old Man Andrews You can never trust someone called "Mark" who spells their name with a C instead of a K. Never.

Likewise with "Marcus" never trust those with a K.

Re: ArsenaLOL

I have a soft spot for Arsenal. All of my family are Arsenal supporters except for an uncle that supports Chelsea. That Martinelli fella looks very good. How did nobody else spot him? 6 million. Absolute steal. And Arsenal, imo, are slowly building up some very good players. They have a solid GK, s...

Re: Rival Watch

This promotion race reminds me of the one we were involved in during 08/09, except with 2 runners instead of 3. Up until January, it was only ever going to be 2 from Wolves, Birmingham or us, until we all lost form and there were several teams in the mix. Interestingly, Wolves and Brum still went u...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

I do think we should be looking at McIntyre as first choice next season. Southwood as no.2. Olise, Howe and Richards in the 18 every week. Possibly Holsgrove. Rino first 11. That'd be a decent return. Hamilton seem chuffed to have Southwood back which is good to see Is McIntyre better than Moore or...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Nottingham Forest (a) sponsored by Neil Webb

Maybe. It seems to me although we play a sort of 4-5-1 we often look like this: ------------Rafael --Morrison---Moore Gunter-------Pele ----------------Swift---Blackett ----------------Adam---Ejaria -----Meite----Baldock When we attack. With play focused down the left, Gunter hugging the line, Pele ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Nottingham Forest (a) sponsored by Neil Webb

Meite has been quite similar to Puscas recently tbh. Had one good half vs Derby, and that really has been about it. Worked hard, done some good defensive work, but offered very little up front I'd probably rather give McCleary a run to be absolutely honest, use Meite as the plan B. Was McCleary goo...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Nottingham Forest (a) sponsored by Neil Webb

Lost faith with Puskas.Put Meite CF to bash them about a bit, with either Baldock or Boye out wide. Why? Hes barely played since returning from injury? Why are people so desperate to write him off? People like myself and Westwood are presumably harsher because of the price tag People like yourself a...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Nottingham Forest (a) sponsored by Neil Webb

I think we should go with the same team pretty much. They did well in the reverse fixture and were unlucky to concede. -----------------------Rafael Gunter---Morrison---Moore---Blackett -------------------------Pele ------------------Adam---Swift Meite--------------------------------------Ejaria --...

NewCorkSeth Anyone else hoping both Leeds and West Brom fail to get automatic promotion now? Would be hilarious.

Leeds maybe. I like WBA, good fans and they've got an ex Reading player in their squad.

Meant more funny in the sense that a month ago the 2 looked like they wouldnt be caught.

Re: Rival Watch

100%. I know Klopp is on his way to go unbeaten in the league and is clearly one of the best managers in the world but Wilder has turned Enda Stevens into a premier league LWB. I dont think I need to ask which is more impressive. Leeds could survive. But honestly I can also see them (if they go up)...

NewCorkSeth Apparently Wolves are after our old boy Nelson Olivieira. God he would have solved a lot of problems this season eh?

Wolves have made a bid to loan him which Athens have apparently rejected

Someone find 6 million in the budget. Season saved.

Re: Rival Watch

I meant achievements in terms of holding their own in the Premier League, I think that is a good benchmark for any promoted team. Sheffield United are now the standard bearer for Championship teams getting promoted, they are more than respected. I also agree Wilder is a top drawer manager who is al...

Re: Rival Watch

It would be unjust if that happened to Leeds, this is their year. I think that club with a big summer transfer window could easily replicate Sheffield United's achievements. I'm not saying this to join in the Leeds bashing but I think that's slightly disrespectful to Sheffield United. While Bielsa ...
