Re: Chants about the fire?

I'm late to the party, but regarding the 'patting' lad, right at the end of that clip he puts his hands to his ears to do a flapping gesture. I think that pretty much clears it in my mind that there was a Matt Lucas lookalike in his view. I'd never heard of that gesture being used as an fire insult ...

Re: Buyout

More often than not the people who want to buy the club have some sort of connection to the Local Area. This tells me that the person heading up the US bid for the club is none other than this chap http://img2-3.timeinc.net/people/i/2012/news/121119/barack-obama-300.jpg Afterall his Step Mother liv...

Q21-28 reminded me of Keith's performance review from The Office.

Also, I don't like questions that just order me to 'Discuss' - Is the OP trying to get us to write his essay for him!?

Re: Bitter Fake hoops

Thought the penalty we did win was a dive I thought, but QPR fans can't really moan after the ref disallowed a perfectly good goal for us at 1-1, despite already signalling there had been no foul! The time when Pog was through on goal I thought was stonewall (would like to see it again), but the ref...

Re: Portsmouth fc

The Admins fees are at the going rate; you all have no idea how many people, and therefore hours of work, are put into liquidating a club. Administrators in that role take a big risk that they won't be paid at all, so have to charge what you/me would consider 'obscene amounts of money', as their nex...

Re: TO THE READING FAN ON 606

AthleticoSpizz why this poncey shaking hands BEFORE the game thing anyway????

I think we should swap around the customs and make the fans all shake hands before the match, while the players hurl abuse and swear at each other. I'd watch that :-)

Re: TO THE READING FAN ON 606

tbf there were a few twits in jazz before the agame trying to defend what suarez did! Not shaking someone's hand you don't like? I'd defend that... nothing to do with situation/racism at all, but why the hell would you shake someone's hand you don't like?? Ferdinand didn't shake hands with Suarez b...

Re: TO THE READING FAN ON 606

Para Handy 'greed. Would have been much more interesting if Evra had nutted Suarez. Other than that no news really. Footballers in being childish shocker. Managers even more so.

Get Keane and Souness back, then I'll be interested in these petty arguments between the clubs again :-)

Got there in the end ...... http://www.thisisanfield.com/2012/02/video-evra-refuses-suarez-handshake/ Both of them are little babies really. Another LOL that the 'who refused to shake whose hand?' debate has received so much airtime. They don't like each other so why should they shake hands? Wouldn...

Re: TO THE READING FAN ON 606

Not exactly RFC related... Massive LOLs to the outrage caused by two people who don't like each other not shaking hands. And special giggles at Fergie saying it could have caused a riot. Gotta love football at the top level sometimes for these moments of amusement :-)

Both should be starting ahead of Hunt on current form IMO

Re: Cardiff Match Thread - Sponsored by Stephen Bywater

MmmMonsterMunch Why do we get stitched up by the officials every time we play them? It beggars belief.

Well, excepting our win there in the playoffs when we did get the rub of the green from Webb it must be said (though on the day would have won either way I think).

Re: Back from the Game - Leeds

Travelled up and back with a Leeds fan (was afraid he was going to leave us stranded after the result as it was his car...). Honest thoughts from him were that they badly missed Howson, and that we really effectively snuffed any sort of threat from Snodgrass and Becchio, which made them look poor. C...

Re: Why is Ryan Giggs on the front page of the Sunday Herald?

After much speculation that he was going to put out a weakened side against Blackpool, Sir Alex Ferguson tonight submitted the following team sheet: 1. Edwin Van der Sar 3. Patrice Evra ...6. Wes Brown 12. Chris Smalling 23. Jonny Evans 24. Darren Fletcher 18. Paul Scholes 11. Top Flight Premiership...

Re: Who's going to win the play-offs?

News from Twitter - Robbie Savage is backing Reading and has a wager with Lee Westwood, who is obviously a big Forest fan. If Forest win the playoffs, Savage has to caddy for Westwood. If Reading win, Westwood for Savage.

Probably all just Twitter posturing but amusing nonetheless.
