Paul Ince Managerial Fact File

Summary of what is on Wikipedia for anyone who can’t be bothered to read through it: Joined Swindon Town as a player-manager in August 2006. Played one game for the club before agreeing by mutual constant to not continue playing for the club. Instead managed to complete his coaching badges while at ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a)

Derby will beat Peterborough in all likelihood today meaning that if we lose the gap will be closed to 2 points heading into midweek (not to mention Derby’s 20-something GD advantage).

Got to pick something up!

Re: Where do we go now?

Hypothetical one here. If we are to drop down to League One, do we have relative faith that Dai will either: 1. Finally acknowledge supporter discontent and avoid signing any players that are linked directly to Kia? 2. Be forced into a position whereby any signings Kia tries pushing through are whol...

Re: Where do we go now?

Forgot to mention in my initial post when listing issues at the club - understand from a friend that the club are to issue an apology on behalf of Yakou Meite following some threatening/homophobic tweets that came to light over the past few weeks. Not entirely sure how/if this will impact his statu...

Re: Pauno out

So, any fanbase contains a lot of idiots, and people who are just angry. But my feeling of the last few weeks is not anger at Pauno himself, it's anger that the owners have allowed him to stay in his position. He's tried his best, he seems to be a decent person, but he doesn't have what it takes to...

Where do we go now?

Toxicity levels are clearly, and justifiably, through the roof. From the protests on Saturdays to supporters on the pitch, Paunovic *leaving* before realising that he actually offered his resignation and was denied such (lol) to supporters now blocking the team coach and Paunovic having to scuttle a...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Peterborough United (a)

NathStPaul No sign of Paunovic going on the bus. Has he actually stuck out of a side door? Is he that gutless?

He’s apparently just left in a separate car. F*ck me.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Peterborough United (a)

Saturday:

Preston vs Reading
Derby vs P’Boro

Tuesday/Wednesday:

Reading vs Birmingham
Derby vs Millwall

Easier said than done but reckon we lose both of those and Derby have a good chance of winning.

Relegation zone inbound.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Peterborough United (a)

I’m as negative (/as much of a realist) as the next supporter but genuinely do not see how we lose tonight.

Peterborough have pretty much matched our crap spell, their supporters feel as apathetic as we do and they have significantly lesser players.

Reading 2-1 imo.

Re: Confimred - Brandon Barker

Lowdown on Barker: - Very Quick but limited end product - Often tries too much but can leave a defender for dead. - Ok crossing ability. - Didnt play much for us, more a benchwarmer - Not a flashy player but very direct. - Was on loan at Oxford and done very well https://mobile.twitter.com/KevTS198...

Re: Pauno out

What an incredibly odd dynamic. If Paunovic really has asked to leave and been refused, you’d have to imagine it’s on the basis of whatever payoff he is expecting. Are we now living in hope that Dai and Paunovic can find a middle ground in all of this? All the while we’re supporting a team of player...

Re: Brian 3.0

Ok - I'll put my cards on the table - I want Brian McDermott back to manage our failing club. He's the second most succesful manager in our history, has already offered to "help out" despite shabby treatment on two previous occasions. Would bring the feel good factor back, also he can't l...

For the love of God please get Serhiy Rebrov in. Literally no reason not to and has a CV that’s more than justified a job in England by now.

Re: Pauno out

Hopefully it is the case. However, I feel as though the likely replacement will either be someone already at the club or another random from abroad. Can’t in a million years see a proven manager at this level coming in.

Hmm, wouldn’t be too confident just yet. Comes across as someone who now regrets putting it out into the universe!
