Re: Spurs friendly

We look very light upfront and in the middle. Assuming the rumoured incomings are true, we still need a goalscorer IMHO Yeah. Garcia is a skillful player and he works hard and runs all game closing down, but he's just not a winger. Kelvin has the talent, but hasn't stepped up yet and O'Mahoney has ...

Re: Spurs friendly

Pepe the Horseman Wtf was that from O'Mahony. Should've been a red.

Nah... it was just a cynical trip, not dangerous

Re: Spurs friendly

Now that is an impressively cynical foul from O'Mahoney. And a load of old play acting from the Spurs player.

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

So, should the paperwork ever be approved by the authorities, we should see the following officially added to the squad rota for the forthcoming season… Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan - AM (perm) Daniel Kyerewaa - AM (perm) Josh Bowler - AM (perm) Kamari Doyle - AM (loan) anyone noticing the position where t...

Re: Spurs friendly

WestYorksRoyal Shows our fanbase than we'd rather watch a friendly against a big team than games that actually matter. I'm not going today, I couldn't give 2 shits about it. Give me the league.

Or that loads of Spurs fans want to go to a local game and pretend to support Reading to do it.

So I assume a season ticket card still work at the turnstile? Or do those of us who didn't want to download onto apple or Google wallet, so put it on the existing card when buying our season ticket, turn up on the 9th of August and not be able to get in? Not really looking forward to trying to get ...

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

Due to the sad passing of Adam Prior, Head of Pre-Academy and Foundation Development Phase Recruitment, the club’s communication channels will remain silent today as a mark of respect. RIP. https://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/2025/july/17/reading-saddened-by-the-passing-of-adam-prior/ RIP, nice touch ...

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

Heard this on the radio regarding Man Utd and Brian Mbeumo but the same goes for Couhig/Reading: When signing players, for every day the deal is delayed the buying club saves a day's worth of wages - so if a player is on £7k per week the club saves £1000 per day for every day the deal isn't done Co...

Youtube tour of the Open day for those who couldn't make it. Looks like it was a fantastic outing and really good they've done this for those who couldnt make it or didnt qualify.

Re: Spurs friendly

Armadillo Roadkill I'd say the Spuds are up there just behind Chelsea and Arsenal in terms of "supporters" around the Reading area. Expect a lot of people all around you who think their knowledge of and passion for football is much better than yours because they "follow" a PL side.

Royals and Racers 20,000 sold it is being reported.

For a friendly against a totally meh PL side? They'd better be showing up in L1.

Re: Pre Season games 2025/6

It's looking a bit like there's a 1st XI and 2nd XI in the friendlies. Obviously somewhat not 100% with a few notable absences. But Kelvin E seems to be in the second XI and Garcia, Camara and Sackey in the first, which would be a bit of a surprise. Makes sense to drill the first choice near all cha...

Re: Josh bowler

After a quick chat with the physio on Sunday I'd pass. He said that a players fitness to play is mostly determined by their previous injuries, ie if you are regularly injured you'll keep being regularly injured, usually with a re-occurrence or worsening of an old injury Which makes you question why...

Re: Garcia to be sold

I’m not sure that’s totally fair though. He was thrown in as a 16 year old and the full backs weren’t particularly attacking. We were 4 at the back and esp under Hunt they didn’t get forward that much. Craig’s weren’t massively different stats - though I accept he has no designs on being a winger H...

Re: Garcia to be sold

Just as a follow up on Garcia the winger... he got 1 assist in 39 appearances as an attacking fullback last year.

0.2 shots per game, 0.3 key passes per game. It's not exactly signs of a winger in waiting.

Having him as second/third choice winger maybe.
