Re: The Forest is Green!

Dunno about that, but should be a half-decent pairing in L2

Re: The generic transfer thread

Hull sign Tom Eaves from the Gills, should be a decent acquisition, on a freebie too.

Re: Nick Shorey joins Accademy as Scout

Seem to recall McClaren being (at least) at one of those championship games tbf....then of course, then came Capello

The mind gets jaded....14/15 years ago now

Re: Nick Shorey joins Accademy as Scout

Ok, so given DDs point (which I also get) McCartney is just one

Shorey was most definitely up there, hence our promotion and hence his two England caps (which imho, weren’t totally based on his Premier appearances)

Those of that certain persuasion will argue otherwise

Libertine
AthleticoSpizz 1-0 win to the lionesses

Nothing too much for the WC winners elect, the USA to worry about here

There are questions about how the US's back line will hold up when they come up against real competition. I wouldn't anoint them anything, never mind champions, quite yet.

Re: The womens world cup

Yeah Tulip, tbf, I guess if England were to have made the finals, it would’ve been somewhat muted here too in comparison to the mens game (despite the beebs best efforts to make it otherwise).

Re: The womens world cup

That’s a little bit surprising. The Dutch team have consistently been one of the best supported during the tournament that, coupled with the less-than-successful mens team (of recent years) and the liberal and accepting attitudes of the Dutch folk, I would have thought that it would be front page ne...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

URZZZZ Bodvarsson weighing up move to Championship rivals or Greek top league team. Seems to be a development on the departure side. Personally think we’d be fools to let him go to another champ team

Shhhss, don’t tell anybody, but I am quietly optimistic about the coming season.
