Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

Heard this on the radio regarding Man Utd and Brian Mbeumo but the same goes for Couhig/Reading: When signing players, for every day the deal is delayed the buying club saves a day's worth of wages - so if a player is on £7k per week the club saves £1000 per day for every day the deal isn't done Cou...

Snowflake Royal Who is Doyle?

If only we'd got him last season then we'd have had:

Bodin and Doyle

Re: Membership

The problem for me is not being able to load my tickets onto the member cards, the NFC on my phone doesnt always work and I dont trust it enough to put my ticket on there and then have issues getting in. Also my kids dont have phones they can use so I will have to print paper tickets off for them e...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Noise on Twitter about both Bowler and Kamari Doyle (loan) both being close to confirmation Would use up another loan spot if Doyle joins but potentially a good strong signing One of HNA's resident ITKs has not mentioned Kamari Doyle for a while (KD has his own dedicated thread) so not sure how tru...

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

Think I overheard at Bearwood that Rob was flying in on Wednesday then going to Ireland today (at the time we couldn't understand why he didn't go directly to Ireland)

Re: Josh bowler

Brogue Right just been told this is confimred. 100% done 8) great signing. Was initially told it was 400k, now told it might be as much as 600k maybe the 600k is including add ons. I dunno, but it’s done.

Of course it's SIX! hundred thousand, just to continue the cricketing theme

Re: Rumour - Gideon Nana Kwame Fosu Kodua

From comments on Twitter, Jacobson apparently said at the weekend that our remaining loans spots would be held back until (late) August so doubtful this will happen if it is a loan. Also we could do with experience rather than more youth.

Re: Rumour - the Yak back

Saw that photo at the weekend. It shows that he's still in France (from the blackboard behind him) and apparently he like to wear kit from his old clubs as a few days before he posted a photo of himself wearing Cardiff shorts (I bet they're not as excited that be might be re-signing for them!) Also ...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Amankwah is not travelling with the squad to Ireland Shame seemed to be doing well, is there another centre back associated or are we likely to stick with Strickland as back up? Stickland is definitely considered part of the first team now by the club (so no longer Academy and not going out on loan...

Sutekh
Brogue Amankwah is not travelling with the squad to Ireland

I take it then that Morell is? Presuming Amankwah is obsolete now after signing Burns.

Both Burns (1st half) and Amankwah (2nd half) played against Gillingham so perhaps not...

Sutekh Final Score?

Players all off to Ireland now, back in time for Spurs on Saturday. Will Morell and Amankwah travel too?

From Brogue's report it sounds like Morell played and scored today, Amankwah didn't feature - not sure what you can read into that

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

So, given the w/end ultimatum, today's the day we finally discover what's occurring with Kelvin E's situation. He was happily telling everyone at Bearwood yesterday that’s he’s staying. Be very weird if that wasn’t the case Does he know Mark McGhee? From the Pre-Season thread it looks like Kelvin E...

Re: Garcia to be sold

Played RW against Gillingham whilst Dorsett and Ryan played LB . Clarke and Jacobs didn't get on the pitch. Can’t see us seriously using Garcia as a winger , particularly RW, and KelvinE is reportedly staying . Thought I'd add a little to this - John Ryan played well at left back, quite happy to ge...

Predicts a break-out season for Sackey and said that Academy player Bowdery was a good prospect.

Also very positive about Michael Stickland
