Re: Rival Watch

Hound Just way too good for this division - should never have gone down

Still think Brum are one of the teams who may yet get dragged into the mix so happy to see them get a battering

We may need to pick up some points to make that happen

Re: The generic transfer thread

Part of me thinks they've done it mainly to weaken a relegation rival, rather than anything else Proper shithousing if so  Although giving Burnely £25m, may come back to bite Newcastle in the arse. £25m for Chris Wood  £10m probably an ok bit of business but £25m - Burnley really wanted t...

Re: Liam moore

If it is a statement to try and deflect from how bad a week the club has had then doing so before 2 massive home games is bloody stupid. Yes, we lost on Saturday in what is becoming a fairly standard way - i.e get in the lead and chuck it away but I don't think many people were too annoyed by given...

Re: VAR

Don’t remember who the commentary team were, but I really wish they’d learn the laws of the game.
There’s no debate at all with this one, it’s a matter of fact.

I’m surprised they didn’t try to argue there was a defender on the line (there was but obviously the keeper was out beyond the Leeds player)

Re: Pauno out

Royal_jimmy So Everton sack Benitez but we wont sack Pauno

As far as I’m aware, Everton are under no FFP issues and won’t struggle to get a list of candidates

Re: Rival Watch

It`s hard not to grudgingly admire Derby, Rooney is doing a hell of a job there, wouldn't be surprised if he was at Everton next week. Edited for you........ Looks like you could be right. Everton have sacked Benitiz today. Getting Rooney away from Derby could help us. Particularly if he takes his ...

Re: Relegation

We won't need to ship everyone out though will we. We could even extend a few. No one is expecting the Academy to be our first XI next year. Or if we kept the whole first team squad that we'd piss the league. :P We can only extend those that want to. If they decide they want to exit the shitstorm, ...

Re: Relegation

So, let's take a look at this. Southwood - is performing broadly at Championship level - 1st XI Andresson - Already getting some L1 experience with Morecambe 1st XVIII Boyce-Clarke - unknown but promising Bristow - seems a little out of his depth at Championship level but some promise there. Ok Squ...

Re: If we go down, how long til we’re back?

I think it’s extremely naïve to think we would be back up in any time period
If we go down, I’d settle for not going down again next season

Suggested amendment

A few weeks ago I stated that if Derby survive we’d be in big trouble.

I was lambasted for daring to think that might be a potential scenario.

windermereROYAL Just checked, 9 goals conceded 85+ minutes, so to say we would be 8th is total bollocks.

He’s changed his statement to “8th without the points deductions”

bcubed Very depressing, despite expecting nothing from the outset

I said after the Fulham disaster that losing after leading feels worse than being thrashed, especially when their goals are late on.

That Fulham result is not looking ‘quite as bad’ given their goal fest again today

Someone has just informed me that, if games finished at 80 minutes, we’d be 8th, even with the deduction.
That can’t be right, can it ?

Re: Who realistically replaces Paunovic…?

Yep. Impact injury excuse just looks farcical at this point. Azeez has now broken down three times on return. The fact the same player keeps breaking down suggests that player has a problem not the manager. Some people's bodies aren't cut out for top level sport and they only find out about it when...

Re: Who realistically replaces Paunovic…?

So help me out with this. Again, genuine humble questions not a troll. 1- Is there any way Pauno can be sacked without having to pay out based on the insane results lately? 2- If not what is the likely payout going to be? 3- If high, and getting another man is also a big cost (eg Colin) would that ...

Re: When will Pauno be sacked?

windermereROYAL He won`t be sacked, if he survived the last 2 games it will take a catastrophe for him to get the boot, can`t see I'm getting a renewal though.

Just so that I can be clear, you don’t consider the last two games to be catastrophes.
Just checking
