Re: Team you would most like to beat this season?

PORTSMOUTH It's about bloody time we beat those bell ringing, south coast oxf*rd! I have suffered nothing but dull games at home and total dump a...

Born at home just outside Sunninghill, and disturbingly close to the Surrey border. Reading was the big city for us, with (imagine!) a league football club - mind you, it was free to watch Ascot Utd.

Moved to Reading in '86, just in time for the glory days....

Anyone remember the game against Sunderland (97?) at EP, when we won 4-0? I remember the southbank singing 4-nill to the blue and white, when one of the macham fans ran on to the pitch, grabbed the loose ball and kicked it into the Reading goal. Without missing a beat, the Southbank sang 4-1 to the...

Strange one this from me: Steve Stone missing an open goal at Elm Park when he was supposed to be at his best! Stuck in my mind for ever, but no idea what the game was - (suppose it must have been Forest, but don't really know) It was, and I remember that SS acknowledged his miss with a shrug to th...

Were you in the boozer the night the Sky opening credits rolled and Lambert just happened to be there sat nurisng a pint? Everyone cheered th...

Jenkins -- definitely RIGHT winger Right, ok, we've got 3 or 4 people here saying he's a right winger. Now my solution is therefore: since I mistakenly put in Anthony Rougier for the right wing poll (since he's a left winger), I can put that mistake right by including Tom Jenkins who was a right wi...

strap Archie's 93rd and 96th minute strikes to defeat Fat B*stard's Wolves at EP takes some beating.

Superb, I agree, but how about the 4-2 win against Wolves just after the FSB buggered off? Smashing game.

Either the old wooden one at Ep or the new Plexiglass version at the Mad STad... I know someone who 'liberated' a lot of the dug-out seating from Elm Park. It's in ...
