Re: Second season success stories

Better example - Shane Long ... thought he was clueless for a long time, and then suddenly he came on fire ... and he's still playing in the Prem now. He surely has to be incredibly grateful to Steve Coppell for all he's achieved.

Sheffield United are trying to get into Europe ... don't think the cup will be their priority.

Re: January Transfer Window

Snowflake Royal From being ludicrously overstuffed at fullback we could potentially find ourselves starting next season with:

Yiadom, Richards, and Watson.

:|

we can worry about that in the summer

Zip
Old Man Andrews
genome That’s what I said Zip, confimred

It's the Portuguese spelling of it, Genome was being topical.

It was initially a shocking performance by Genome but he is forgiven. You on the other hand, OMA, have been under-performing for too long and need to go.

Is OMA your escapegoat?

Re: January Transfer Window

Hendo For me, that is better than coming out and saying we are getting a couple of signings completed and then they fall through.

+1 .. OMA would announce exactly who was coming in and at what price ... because that's more transparent.

Re: BFTG Bristol citeh.

That was one of the worst home performances of the season and definitely the worst under Mark Bowen. We were casual, soft, lacking energy and lost to a pretty dreadful side and I'm really frustrated and angry. We didn't really go for it until it was too late and even then we got what we deserved. O...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (h) sponsored by Bobby Williams

Shit result, didn’t watch but seems we were poor up to the last 5 or so Think we have to ditch the 1 up top. We just aren’t scoring goals since Joao got injured against any half decent side. That injury was obvs a huge blow which we’ve not properly recovered from Meite had a good impact, I'd be tem...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (h) sponsored by Bobby Williams

Since Bowen got that contract extension we seem to be getting worse. Yep, total knee jerk reaction to a few wins by the owners. He is totally unproven, and there is going to be literally no one better than us queuing up to hand a contract to a guy in his first management job, with an expensive squa...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (h) sponsored by Bobby Williams

Snowflake Royal What the actual oxf*rd was Blackett doing? Just watched the guy sprint past him to space and the rest of the defence fell apart.

They did that about 3 times first half, so no great surprise that they scored from that position this half ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (h) sponsored by Bobby Williams

Sounds pretty boring Very dull. We are marginally the better side but as often not quite got the edge up top or the ball not dropping. Olise and Gomes looking good - Swift and Ejaria OK ... Puscas looking lost up front, but it's hard playing as lone striker with very little service. Missing a big t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (h) sponsored by Bobby Williams

Terrible commentary as usual - and that Bristol player is not called Jesus ... for god's sake, it sounds a bit like Jesus, but without the 's' at the end, it really isn't that hard, more like 'Djedju'.

Re: Pedro Mendes

I’d suggest Aluko and Mannone still being on the wage bill is indeed having quite a big influence on our dealings Interesting, someone else pointed this out, that Boye didn’t play yesterday. Do wonder if that’s a loan we’re trying to get back Barrow and McNulty still on the wage bill. Boye will be ...

Good points - Walker made some good saves, Meite scoring and making tribute to his dad, and Aluko actually looking OK.
Otherwise we were lucky not to lose.

Re: Speculation: Lewis Baker

Didn't see Baker much last season - didn't watch many games - but how can he have been so good when we basically did pretty badly in the league (although we did just survive post-Xmas)? Was it everyone else around him that did so badly?

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Decent draw for the U18’s today 1-1 at 2nd in the table West Ham . Abby scored the goal Had an interesting chat with a friend who is close to an U18 manager of a Prem team and he said that they really are not particularly bothered about results of the games they play - instead everything - the game...

From Despair To Where? Not so rich that they haven't gone into administration twice.

And their history consists of fcuk all before Revie turned up (OK, maybe 1 Division 2 title) and 1 title since.

Only Forest are more defined by 1 man.

But to be fair apart from the 106 points we have no history whatsoever.

They had plenty of chances second half so they deserved to win ... we were pretty poor particularly second half.
