Re: Upset the Apple cart.

This is very much the work ethic Mark Bowen will have learned from managing stoke alongside Mark Hughes .... they even managed to teach Marko Arnautovic how to work hard and not just swan around as he'd previously done.

Re: CONFIMRED - Charlie Adam

He has certainly exceeded expectations Have to consider a few things though. He came in under Gomes, and was a complete waste of a wage for whatever reason - Not a Gomes player, and they clearly fell out. Until Gomes was sacked, he was every bit as bad as many expected. Bowen was the perfect appoin...

Re: Rival Watch

Another late goal conceded by Wigan, never known anything like it Brentford on a roll too, just at the same time that Leeds + WBA seem to be dropping a few points. Could make that interesting Two huge games for Derby now, Charlton and Barnsley (H), lose those and they're in right trouble Presume Ro...

Dare I say it but we're a bit McD. Playing badly but still coming away with the points, or maybe not badly, but not winning convincingly.

Re: BFTG - Derby

Regarding the OP - Joao set up the first with a bit of magic and scored the second. Certainly wasn’t woeful Midfield was wrong first half and we totally lost the battle there. Good subs to bring on Swift and Pele and we bossed it from that point and could have scored more/ Derby had more sent off G...

Re: Rival Watch

I think I was alone in thinking Barnsley were pretty good at times on weds. Terrible at the back but lively up front QPR are very inconsistent Loleeds- though them and wba are so far clear already Their new manager is starting to make a difference - come in from an incredibly low budget team in Aus...

Re: New manager Brendan Rodgers *confirmed*

Manager of the second placed team in the premier league, who would have thought it all those years ago. If we stuck by him we would have been relegated - Wrong manager for the club at that moment in time. But we'd have probably been promoted the next season and be in the Prem by now if we'd stuck w...

Re: BFTG Wigan

He wasn’t hooked off obviously and got a hat-trick. Even my young daughter shook her head at me and mentioned my appalling punditry. XXX The penalty looked soft for me. Not even sure what it was given for although I was right on top of the incident. Handball? . Yeah don't change your job and going ...

Sack Mark Bowen

Has done well last few games but lacks the experience to get us to the Premiership - we should get Neil Warnock while we can before someone else snaps him up as he knows how to get teams promoted!

Re: The idiots of Twitter thread

The lads on twitter are really being pathetic about the McCleary situation. A consummate professional who has endured a real challenge in a difficult part of his career has just scored for us rounding of a great win and they are having a go at him. The mind boggles. It’s basically just that cretin ...

Re: BFTG - Luton

When is Joao likely to be back from injury? I know a lot of people don't like him, but think if motivated he could be lethal in this league and definitely better than Meite (who I don't rate ... just don't think he has a footballing brain).

Re: BFTG - Luton

One thing i've noticed is that our CBs convert into CMs during games - look at the highlights for the 2nd goal and you see Moore racing towards their penalty box ... I saw him and Miazga doing that again in the second half. Makes a lot of sense when you're playing that formation ... and I don't thin...

Err, I think most people were underwhelmed but were happy to give him a chance before slagging him off. It was only the usual vocal minority or the Twitter mong collective who crawled out if the woodwork, calling him a snake and coming up with conspiracy theories about how he got the job who were c...

Hound Well that was harder than it should have been.

Excellent and in total control for an hour, then the Moore injury and the poor conceded goal rattled us. Never quite got control back but Millwall didn’t really come close again

The overhead kick towards the end was pretty close ...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

I remember Tetek from when he was a 9 year old playing in the Oxford Youth League - he's only 16 and already playing for the U18s and now in the U23 squad. Osario is also the same age and also from Oxford. Both really great talents.
