Re: Sheff Utd (H) Cup

At least the ticket pricing is good. Going further in the Cup will be a fair reward for Bowen's tenure so far.

Re: Second season success stories

Seem to remember Kevin Doyle struggled initially. Couldn't hit a barn door. Providing he works hard. Puscas will come good in the right formation. Bowen can only set the team up with the players available to him.

I'm more frustrated with Ovie Ejaria.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (a) sponsored double header part 2

Teams like Reading fielding their second string in this completion when there’s not a huge amount left to play for is ridiculous. Winners receive £360k plus share of gate money. Reading will benefit from merchandise and catering. Qtr final is worth £720k to winners. All helps the coffers. All to pl...

Re: Ho(ut)we

Doubt we got much for Howe or took much off the costs by losing him. Certainly compared to the likes of Blackett, Gunter, McCleary and Obita's contracts expiring in the summer itd be a drop in the ocean. I was thinking of the cut of any sell on fee clause in the contract. At 21, a big ask to play t...

Re: Ho(ut)we

The club is under financial pressure. Selling academy players is a good source of future revenue generation. Providing we retain the real gems, i.e. Olise and MacIntyre. I watched Swift play on loan at Swindon in 2015. Thought by now he'd be playing at a far higher level. Just goes to show that som...

Yes it does. I don't know why they couldn't be arsed to have proper names like us. Proper English names so we can understand them. And why they have to speak a different language baffles me too. It's not like English is difficult. Even toddlers manage it FFS. And don't even get me started on them i...

Isn't Loader out injured?

Dunno, is he?

Last I heard (after Bristol game) was that Mr Loader had a “sore foot” so can’t imagine he’d be out more than a few days.

No desire to sign a new contract. Like Blackett will find himself sidelined.

Reckon Boye will get a run out.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (a) sponsored double header

Good point - gets us closer towards that 45 mark where we can start preparing for next season without any pressure. Agree. No complaints. Bowen is steering us towards middle table obscurity. Limitations of the squad have been very apparent for a while. Though finally there is a solid core to the te...

Re: Ho(ut)we

The only thing that makes me ☹ is that we have had a crack team of youngsters over the last few years and they haven’t broken through for reasons that are never disclosed (or they are all not good enough). Shame. Big step up from U23 football to top level Championship, let alone premiership. Look a...

Re: Blackett to Turkey.

Tyler Blackett has turned down the contract offer made by Reading and is now expected to leave the club, though most likely in the summer when his current deal expires. This is nothing short of a monumental disaster for the club and an absolute concrete end to any playoff aspirations that may have ...
