Re: The League of 4

Only Prutton predicted we would stay up. At least he is forced to look at the form guide because of his weekly predictions so he will have known Reading were improving. The other pundits were just lazy which irritates because they will be well paid for spouting ill informed nonsense. We might only ...

Nothing like a goal as a confidence booster. :D

I remember the days of wondering when Kevin Doyle would come good........

Re: The Danny Loader conundrum

Given his age and rapid promotion through the ranks. He has matured and improved considerably. Given the fact the team has struggled for much of this season. Cannot be easy to come on as a striker and be expected to turn the teams fortunes around. As Meite has proved. Just give Loader time. He'll co...

Nameless Those aged 21/22 not in contention for the match day 18

That could be a few of them. As matters stand we have a depleted squad.

Re: End of season contracts

Snowflake Royal Well Harriott's worth a deal.

Not getting much game time though. Perhaps if McCleary goes could can step up for next season. Seems to be favoured ahead of Kelly. Who does appear to have burnt his bridge totally.

Re: End of season contracts

Perhaps the question to ask is which players does the club wish to offload.

Re: Swift to Leeds

The nature of the punt is that it'll be a low hit percentage, but the hits you get will more than make up for the many more misses. Shorey. I'd argue Doyle and Long would count although from a different league structure. Sonko. Antonio. Kitson. We've been less good at it recently, but then that's b...

Re: BFTG - Baggies

Surprised how much respect WBA showed us. Though they came for a point and left with their objective. Having the same core of the team starting every game makes such a difference. Nigel Howe's post match interview suggests that many challenges lie ahead. If Miaza and Baker were to be signed permanen...

Re: BFTG - Baggies

I was really excited about Loader. I really want him to do well. I'm starting to think he just doesn't have what it takes up top though. Another lost boy performance from a player with obvious talent. Big step up from U23's to Championship. Has time on his side. If Gomes didn't think he was up to t...

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

the first thing Howe did when he returned to the club was sack Clement which suggests he had his ear to the ground as to the atmosphere behind the scenes. Between the owners and NH they obviously decided that the gamble was worth taking in the much longer term. Whatever the "project" is. ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : West Bromwich Albion (h) sponsored by Brian Howard

Moore looked uncomfortable with his shoulder again on Friday. Hopefully he can see the season out.

Rather than 5 at the back. Play Yiadom in central midfield. This would allow Baker and Rinomhota to alternate and push forward further.

Re: The League of 4

It’s a unique madness of football fans that they see a rival who has won 8 of 43 games and 1 of the last 5 and for some reason decides they could win 2 out of 3 all of a sudden If we had beaten them , rather than drawing twice this season. Then we wouldn't even need to be discussing this. As would ...

Re: Twenty’s Plenty

Some clubs resort to anything to fleece their own fans. A football club shop has been criticised for rebranding a £1 Easter egg and selling it for £7. Bristol Sport, based at the Ashton Gate football stadium, is selling Cadbury eggs with Bristol City, Bristol Bears or Bristol Flyers cardboard covers...

Re: Financial Fair Play

Depends on who is paying them. If we're still covering a lot of their wages then the sooner they're properly gone the better. You would expect Aluko’s wages are being paid entirely by the Chinese, not much point him being moved there otherwise. Can’t see China having FFP rules and fully expect the ...

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

I have to disagree Ian. Just look at the summer 2018 signings under Clement. They were awful. It’s more than that though. Gomes has managed to integrate these loanees into the squad. They have bought into Gomes and what he is doing. The existing players have done so too and Moore has confirmed this...

Re: BFTG - Bristol City

I don't understand why Gunter backs off so much when someone has a go at him, time and time again they got through us on our right hand side in the first half. He doesn't seem to allow this sort of situation happen to him when he's at LB I'd put that down to the way Bristol were set-up to play. The...
