Re: BFIFollow

3) Zonal marking. If talking about their equaliser then I would normally have agreed with you but when I genuinely posed the question here a few months back to those more in the know the response from SCIAG et al were educational for me i.e. zonal marking is the norm at this level for set pieces. I...

Re: BFIFollow

I’d like to see a few more of the youth lads brought through obviously. Southwood and Holsgrove probably the closest Yep The good thing about this season coming to a close in midtable is that we can afford to give the likes of Olise, Richards, McIntyre, Osho, Andresson, maybe East, Frost and Nevers...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (h) sponsored by John Halls

Olise, Moore, Joao and Meite all excellent. Just needed a little more from one or two extra players. Surprised how well the soft midfield did. Leaning more and more towards Rino, Swift & Olise being the right mix. They did a good job at covering so there always seemed to be one sitting ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (h) sponsored by John Halls

We had the chances to win that, particularly in the first half. Poor defending at the set piece, Richards beaten too easily.

Olise and Moore the two MOTM contenders for me, Olise just needs to sharpen his decision making but he can really spot a pass.

Lewis Ward, Pierce Sweeney and Jake Taylor’s Exeter have lost the first leg of their playoff final.

Now Sean Long’s Cheltenham are facing Northampton.

Re: Season Ticket Refund?

Honestly? I’ve lost out. Ifollow is the best possible alternative but it isn’t the same. I think I’ll be asking for credit on next season’s ticket, which will probably be discounted anyway. I don’t need the cash urgently so won’t ask for a refund, but I’m also not inclined to effectively make a dona...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (h) sponsored by John Halls

Yiadom is a bit fiery. And I think can be prone to poor judgement. Plus tend to prefer a captain in the middle of the pitch CB, CM, maybe ST. Imagine having a full back or a winger as captain, that would never work! 'Tend to prefer' obviously in no way means 'must only be'. McAnuff was just the rea...

Morro club captain. Swift or Rino on pitch? Baldock... Yeah Morrison for shizzle. Surprised you didn't mention Yiadom? Rinomhota could be a future captain. Yiadom is a bit fiery. Re: Reading players out of contract in summer 2020

If we withdraw the contract offer, does that mean we won't get any compensation? If he's under whatever the age is, then we get compo no matter what contract negotiations did or did not take place. This is wrong, he needs to have been offered a contract on at least his current terms or we forfeit o...

Re: Rumour - Rob Dickie

has anyone watched Dickie this season? I know the twitterverse has a bit of a love in with him. Does he live up to the hype? They don’t call him the Basingstoke Beckenbauer for no reason. He’s a significantly better player than Cooper (agree with the consensus in this thread that he was a good play...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

It did occur to me they could have started County Cricket.Only one man and his poor dog goes. The bowler is too close to the umpire. Out of interest how much of a cricket season will there be? They usually would have been playing a couple of months by now so while I could see the 20/20 and one day ...

Re: The effect of the break

Also, when would the following season start? Do they have a proposed date/month for that? Pure speculation - they’ll want a very short pre-season while the fixture computer does its magic and then get started after two or three weeks. Season has to end promptly to ensure the Euros can go ahead, to ...

Re: Biggest Reading FC injustices

I remember being outraged at the Nash challenge, I think his legs going up in the air after the collision made it look worse than it was. Slightly different but a few years ago we put the ball out for an injury against Sheffield United. They played it back to us tamely, but Billy Sharp nipped in and...

Re: Biggest Reading FC injustices

The ball hitting the referee isn’t an injustice, it’s just the way the rules were at the time. Ingimarsson getting sent off after Windass attacked him has to be the most rage inducing for me. Ones in our favour are surprisingly coming to mind much more readily. Shane Long built his career off diving...

Independent content creators would massively benefit on streaming and video services. There's absolutely tons of copyright abuse stifling creativity there with big rights owners taking revenue from them. Tom Scott has a pretty good video on why copyright law is horrendous given modern technology an...
