Re: Speculation: Keeper Watch

We’ve certainly set ourselves up to look a bit silly letting Hillson, Ward and Southwood go (if true) Still a little surprised if that is the case Why on Hillson? I couldn't disagree more on that one. Or Legg, or Ward. Not judging any - not really watched them bar a few from Ward, and I’m sure Gome...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

Well looks like JLow found out before only for it to be denied. And has since been re-confirmed The fact he came back to train with the U23s did suggest he wasn’t going to be first team squad Not really, there are players who are apparently train8ng with the U23 squad initially who will be part of ...

Re: Wenderson Rodrigues do Nascimento Galeno

Wait, what? I'm not sure that's right or we'd have shipped my wife off there for a few months rather than enduring all this visa pain. It's definitely easier for Portugal though. Many Brazilians have Portuguese or Italian ancestry and use jus sanguinis which is a relatively quick and easy workaroun...

Re: Wenderson Rodrigues do Nascimento Galeno

Brazilians working in Portugal automatically get Portugese citizenship and we are still in the EU so he can legally work here. My understanding is that as an EU citizen already working here. He would automatically get a work permit. Wait, what? I'm not sure that's right or we'd have shipped my wife...

AthleticoSpizz Yeah...that’s why he was “shite” enough at Colchester for us to sign him...thank you for your contribution tho’

Did OK at Colchester and was signed by a shit manager who had him at academy level. Nepotism reigns supreme.

You're welcome.

Re: Speculation: Keeper Watch

All basis covered there... Tad bemused with all the Walker dislike. Still young in GK terms, and was bought on the back of his rave reviews at Colchester....even Marcus was perceived as sh1t by Fulham. Keepers are a rare breed, given a bit of confidence and a run in a successful team with a decent ...

Hound That stat geek chap on Twitter Ram Srinivas has put together a nice breakdown of stats

Looks very much a defensive shield. A budget Ezatolahi

The beavers is Pacos nickname. Great stuff

If he's good enough for Ram he's good enough for me

Succinct thread from the brilliant Martin Calladine. We're not looking too healthy.

Is it really? It's pretty lazy - and now I've stupidly engaged with him on twitter. Shouldn't argue with fools, only brings me down to their level.

Re: Explain like I'm five: our FFP crisis

And of course, the financial clusterfcuk of 2017/18 is exacerbated this season by the fact we made a profit in 2016/16 which mitigated against it last season but is now off the books for FFP. The other issue is that we don’t know what the loss is going to be in 18/19. A bloated squad won’t have hel...

Re: Explain like I'm five: our FFP crisis

I'm assuming it's the reasons above. Alternatively could another reason for a soft embargo be that we've done something which isn't in the spirit of ffp - ie trying to balance a hefty loss by bringing in a stupid fee for sending a player to a club overseas owned by the same owners? Just an afterthou...

Re: Explain like I'm five: our FFP crisis

. We then made little attempt to cut our cloth on relegation and got into the first big financial issue with Zingaravich bailing leaving us with a huge dodgy Vibrac loan. Another positive example of Chinese backing is the reduction in interest payments out in last year's financial accounts. The his...
