Re: Ex Players

He's 26, that's prime, not young. But otherwise, completely agree. You would agree because you aren't clued up on football. Obita was not the same player since his injury, he wasn't up to Championship standard and we made a significant saving by offloading him. Fact. He could do a job as a backup L...

Re: Rival Watch

Old Man Andrews Phil Neville on the shortlist for the Sheffield Wednesday job apparently.

I've had a punt on him at 25/1. Can see him being the kind of "big name" shite appointment they might make.

Re: Rival Watch

I think Ainsworth would struggle at a club with big names, big egos and bigger expectations. He'd do well biding his time for a better job to come along. I could see him doing well somewhere like Blackburn, Preston or Millwall (not suggesting any of those would be available any time soon) He certai...

Garry Monk sacked. Seems a bit harsh given how quickly he's turned around the points deduction.

Zlatan with a 93rd minute equaliser to keep Milan unbeaten, coming from 2 nil down to draw 2-2 with fair Verona.

Valencia batter Real 4-1.

Rangers beat Hamilton 8-0. They're 9 points clear of Celtic, having played two games more.

Re: Back from whatever that was.

Very good point. We are leaving a huge amount of space in that final third. Rhimamota and Laurent though for me are the ones dropping too deep. Agreed I know bugger all about football strategy ,but there did seem a huge gap between the midfield and the front two yesterday.TBF however apart from a s...

Re: VAR

Simmops
BR0B0T have the FA marked what part of the body you can score with?

Was this part closer to the goal than two defenders?

Yes, you cannot score with any part of your arm therefore it is impossible for him to be offside

You can score with the top of your arm/shoulder.

Re: VAR

Wow wow wow wow VAR can oxf*rd off already. How the oxf*rd is this offside?! This is a oxf*rd disgraceful decision as he isn't even allowed to score with his arm! I hope the VAR person gets sacked. https://icdn.caughtoffside.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/bamford-offside.jpg Just going to post the ...

Re: SpuROFLs

Jokes aside his record is incredible. I really hope he stays with Spurs his whole career and breaks all their records. Other than Messi it is hard to find a "one club player" in this day and age. I think if he stays with Spurs, he will break Shearer's Prem record, which I never thought wo...

Re: SpuROFLs

Never thought Kane would make it at Spurs based on his spells in the Championship. Spurs fans always rated Tom Carroll as the better prospect too. Safe to say I got that one slightly wrong.

Re: Pauno at STAR Fans Forum 11 November

Ever since this was announced we have lost both games, coincidence? I think not! Pauno upsetting all the traditions - back in the day of Burns and Pardew the manager typically pulled out a good result or two before the Fans Forum .... to the point we considered having the FF every fortnight! Can we...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by David Leworthy

On another note its absolutely mental that after 10 games we’ve lost our last two and still 3 clear points at the top of the table. Mad  With Swansea away at Norwich on Saturday, there's a reasonable chance we'll be top of the league going into the international break, having lost three in a r...

Injuries have absolutely fcuked us. Would bite your arm off for a point on Sat to keep us top, then hopefully have Meite, Ejaira and Moore back after the international break.

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

Here's a good stat, inspired by Liverpool's 7-2 defeat at Villa and their topping the table (for now). The biggest margin of defeat in a season by a team that subsequently wins the league is six goals - a joint record held by Benfica - who lost 7-1 to Sporting in 86-87 but went on to win the league...

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

Rangers have had a terrific start to the season. 16 wins and 2 draws, undefeated, 43 goals scored and just 4 conceded*. *and one of those was an own goal. And Milan back to winning ways behind a (okay, slightly ropey) bicycle kick from a 39 year old. https://sports.ndtv.com/football/w...

Re: SpuROFLs

I think Spurs will challenge, but will probably ultimately fall short (quelle surprise). I don't think they have a good enough defence - they're missing that big defender/leader at the back that you often find with title winners. Van Dijk, Terry, Vidic etc. Aren't everyone though? Well Liverpool wi...

The Royal Forester When did we change our name to Leeds Utd.?
