Mr Angry How does the decision to go to 107 help to "Spread The Word"?

Maybe STAR should address that specific question to the club and see what their official answer is.

I could understand it a bit more if this had been at a time when we were losing any form of coverage but this is at a time when our star has never been higher and we are going in to the most highly reported league in the world, just think a bit of perspective has been lost from both sides of the ar...

Maybe the club should offer free Reading World access to anyone who can no longer listen to live commentary as the are not in the Reading 107 broadcast area.

That won't help everyone (those without internet access) but will help a large proportion of those affected.

In fact there are so many ways that fans can hear/see games live (or as live) next year that the impact of a move from BBC Berks to 107 is in business terms almost negligible. Apart from Reading 107 and the occasional match on 5 Live where else are these many ways that fans can hear/see games live ...

That has just proved the shortsighted view the club have taken. For the sake of £35,000 their commentary will now not reach over half a million extra fans or potential fans. I think that could cost the club more than £35,000 in the long run. His attitude comes across as "the players are greedy ...

Can I just say to people about to sign this petition that arguing that one commentary is better than another won't be of much use - quality of commentaries is subjective. Credible arguments that a businessman like JM will understand are what is needed . The key arguments are : 1. Accessibility - ov...

I wonder if we will hear anything more from the club on this issue. They will now be fully aware of the dissapointment of the fans and their anger at this decision and could really do with making a comment on the situation.

Or will they just stay silent and stand by their decision?

Why do the rights have to be exclusive?

Surely accepting two deals at say £50k each is better than one at £70k?

For Reading FC to have made more money out of this surely Reading 107 must have bid at least double what BBC Berks bid unless of course RFC's intentions were to have exclusive rights. For example Reading 107 bid £70k and BBC Berks bid £50k. To maximise revenue they could give boths rights at £50k, r...

If confirmation was received and money taken when the renewal was made then that sale MUST have taken place before the new application. Therefore I would have thought that the seat purchased rightfully belongs to the renewal. If RFC make the existing fan move to a new seat (I would tell them to get ...

Fair play to him.... If I could read on the internet, discussion forums slagging off my attitude or my work when I had never even met the people then I would get pretty fed up too. That said, these places exist for disccusion. I am sure Kitson understands that but just gets frustrated by the more v...

BBC Berks can be heard in Wycombe, 107 can't. I just hope that BBC Berks realise the support they have and that RFC know how dissapointed we are. THis shouldn't just be about money it is about providing a service to those who can't get to games and live outside the broadcast area of 107 but within B...

BBC Berks have the wider coverage, available on DAB, better commmentary, no adverts, far more dedicated programme, and wouldn't drop the commentary just because they could make more money from a different programme.

BBC Berks Live commentary is no more....Oh yes it is!

Reading 107 have got the exclusive rights for next season ending the clubs long term partnership with BBC Berks. Apparently they wouldn't pay enough money.

So apart from fans forums where you may or may not get a chance to ask a question where else can we talk to them face to face? I took my lads to the open training day at Hogwood. Very interesting day, autographs from nearly all the players and I had a good natter with Wally, Harper and Little. I've...

I think Kitson has missed the point somewhat. Yes it is easy to slate the club from behind a computer screen (and many do) but may of the people on here do attend the fans forums, those that don't should not be looked down on as people have busy lives and can't always spare an evening to hear stuff ...

The club is nothing without the players, and its performances could be affected if just one of them sustains a long term injury. If one fan goes no-one would notice. Actually a club is nothing without supporters. Players (and Chairmen) will come and go but as someone else has already pointed out, s...
