Re: BFTT Leeds

Interesting to hear from Brian McDermott on radio Berkshire before the game. He was critical of Readings player recruitment over the last few seasons.when I look at Puscas tonight who was quite frankly dreadful. I wonder did we really look at him or was he just bought on reputation? I’m a great beli...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (a) sponsored by a Phil Parkinson flick on

Once again easy win for Brentford 1-0 flattered us. There player recruitment is way better than ours. De Silva, Jenson and Watkins miles better than anything we have. Whilst we are wasting millions on donkeys like Puscas, Joao and Bayo. And look at the players Brentford have sold for millions Hogan,...

15000 + crammed into the South Bank for the 14th game of that winning run v Wolves, promptly followed by a return to the 5000 or so for the next home game  How about over 40,000 travelling to Wembley for the Simon cup final, then the next home game, when they paraded the trophy around E...

Re: How times change

Interesting thread. It's all relative. Think about clubs we routinely played prior to the SJM era; they may look at us and say we lucked out. Swings and roundabouts, though admittedly no billionaire could take us to the heights of City as we don't have the fanbase to compete. Imagine us in a shiny ...

How times change

I went to this game we were at best average. City were oxf*rd terrible. 20 years on they are the richest club in the world winning everything. And w are not much better. :(

Re: Rival Watch

It really is a wide open league this season. You really can not predict results from one week to the next. It may come down to strength in depth over the season. Still fancy WBA Leeds with Charlton the surprise packet, Brentford and Sheff Weds to up there.

Re: BFTT

An enjoyable Reading QPR game don’t get many of those. Glad there’s no var in the Championship as would have been down to ten and they would have had a pen. That apart plenty of effort and endeavour and some decent football at times. Pluscas took his goal well but he was poor overall. A deserved poi...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Queens Park Rangers (a) sponsored by an Ingimarsson header

No doubt it has been done to death - but is there hard proof, confirmed proof we are the original wearers of the hooped shirt? Yes the 1872 photo shows we wore blue and white hoops, many years before QPR were even formed. TBF to them I am not aware of them having anything other than hoops where we ...

Best to move fast if you want these as they sold out last season.

One note of caution I know it's for a good cause but they do sting you for the postage £4 so best to get two as will cost the same.
