Re: Rumour - Saeid Ezatolahi

Split on this. Seen enough to know he looks the part but also his playing record over 2 seasons is pretty poor (presuming injury again this season?) so would probably edge towards a “no”. Is Alex Fernandez available? Last I heard he was in Spain’s second division so presumably wouldn’t be a great co...

Re: Reading players out of contract in summer 2020

So Blackett, Gunter, Obita, McCleary and Adam have all left the club. Looks like they are trying to hang on to Osho though. https://twitter.com/ReadingFC/status/1286994610653282306 https://twitter.com/TheTilehurstEnd/status/1287003787782230018 No surprises there, wish them all well. Re: Rumour - Josh Laurent

Well, if the media are to be believed, and this move does happen, then Reading beat off interest from Stoke, Swansea and Cardiff so there must be some confidence in the guy’s ability at Championship level.

Re: Speculation - loans from the Premier League

From Despair To Where? James Garner? I'd rather have Jim Rockford.

Or if he comes with a 1970s Pontiac Firebird (in bronze if course)

Re: Sky sports

Where are the Leicester, Sunderland and Newcastle seasons in that poll. How on earth can you put this season’s Leeds anywhere near any of those successes? 2005/2006 Reading would have wiped the floor with this season’s Leeds.

Re: Squad for 2020/21

Josh Laurent is on his way in according to the omnipotent J-Low. Money for his wages eh? Which are probably about 5k a week. Peanuts in the modern climate. Pfft. Doubt we fought off Stoke with 5k a week. And it enables Swift to be flogged off for hopefully a massive amount of wonga (well there coul...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

I'm all for a salary cap but they can't just introduce one out of the blue in 2 months. It's going to be impossible for us and other teams to save over £20m in wages in such a short time, especially the Premier League teams coming down. Thats what i said on twitter. Has to be gradual or it will for...

Birmingham have retired the no. 22 shirt after Jude Bellingham's transfer to Dortmund    https://twitter.com/SkySports/status/1286301988028915712 The comments are glorious. LOL What a rediculous thing to do! And the comments  Wasn’t Jasper Carrott a director there at some point?...

Re: Rival Watch

This is my new favourite ever football stat. Just proves his bonkers the championship is Barnsley were in the bottom 3 for every single minute from 15th September until the 91st minute of the last game of the season and stayed up. Charlton were in it for less then a week and went down. Pedant Alert...

Re: Bowen, Sack? Yes or no?

To be honest short of Klopp or Guardiola deciding they want to have a real lower division challenge on a pittance there isn’t anyone who I think would get everyone excited. Hughton looks like he’s off to Bristol City and Ainsworth, rightly, I don’t think would want to jump ship sideways after gettin...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-53493960  Mental, heard a Leeds fan saying on the radio that he felt the club had done the right thing as the bus was parked in one spot. No you utter, utter clown, not having a bus at all was the right thing to do :/ Ah well, covid hotspot for Leed...

Speculation - loans from the Premier League

All courtesy of the EP staff and seem quite reasonable to me. So debate away... The 5 names listed are Daniel Barlaser (Newcastle) Jack Clarke (Spurs) James Garner (ManU) Emile Smith-Rowe (Arsenal) Sep van den Berg (Liverpool) Further details... https://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-n...

Re: Rival Watch

Point deductions for derby and wednesday next season that will help too. Get a chance again to go to Luton’s ground, Brentford’s new on if they bottle it. Bournemouth and potentially Watford, Wycombe to, some good new trips lined up. Is Brentford’s new ground still on course to be open for the new ...

Re: Ups & Downs 19/20

Barnsley were in the relegation zone every week from 15th September and only got out of it in the 91st minute of last night It is not a done deal yet, Wigan have appealed the deduction. Wigan also face a further 15 point deduction if any new owner is unable to pay off at least 25% of monies owed to...

Well, he's not a bad looking lad but really....? He hasn’t got your ravishing good looks tbf Don't see it with Swift personally. I think he looks a bit ratty and unkempt. But he's not my type and I'm fairly sure I'm not his so doesn't really matter Villa now rumoured to be interested so that’s repo...

Ah well Barnsley and Luton stay up, good news for us as we will only need to find one other shit team to finish above next season. Re: Squad for 2020/21

Really need to sell Swift/Moore/anyone else quickly so the club has what little flexibility that provides for as long as possible in the transfer window. The FL, I think, also rather urgently need to review FFP and advise clubs accordingly for this season as the mess everything is in for all clubs i...

Re: Bowen's Tenure

Table based on 9 games since restart would put us 16th, table based on results since jan 1st puts us 17th. So not relegation form. Extrapolate our last 3 results over an entire season and we'd finish bottom on 0 zero points  Also a table extrapolated from the last game played sees Reading no...

Re: Bowen, Sack? Yes or no?

No, he deserves a summer to make his stamp on the squad it what will be difficult circumstances. If he manages to pull off some great deals and can get the club top half then that’ll be an achievement in itself. And anyway FFP means Reading won’t be allowed to afford severance packages.

Jackson Corner Just a oxf*rd shambles of a club. We will be next season’s Hull. One home win in thirteen. Season ticket? The players can’t be arsed then why should I.
