Re: Rumour - Ashley Fletcher

Given that we allegedly have £10m to spunk on Wells, I think we should bid £8m for Ashley Fletcher just to run up Boro as if we're playing high stakes celebrity Storage Hunters

Re: I have been educated!

I've started playing FIFA the new Reading way, keep possession and pass it around. When we do reach the premier league again, I feel this style of football will suit us better than the traditional Reading way. I've always played it this way. I honestly have no idea how it's possible to win with any...

Re: The Shame Your Block Thread

It's not even about singing (although arriving from the Huddersfield side of the ground and walking around to the Reading side was like chalk and cheese in terms of hype, anticipation, enthusiasm and general enjoyment from the sets of fans). For me, it was bloomin' annoying to see people _constantl...

Re: BFTG - Preston Home

We missed the first couple minutes due to foolishly deciding to get the new home kit, got in the queue at 2:30 and didn't get out until after kick off. Also there was goal music, it started off quiet at first but it was there, new song. wot song? I must have been swept up in the joyousness and miss...

Re: BFTG - Preston Home

Nice that Preston presented flowers to Mrs Dolan just before ko. The huge picture on the outside of the former North Stand is mightily impressive. Do we know if that is intended to be permanent or not? I'd love to see it permanent; it looked great and is so fitting of a named stand. I arrived expec...

Re: Rumour : Orlando Sa

I'm just glad that atrocious Orlando Sa chant will no longer be sung. Didn't make sense or rhyme. This. How difficult would it have been to go with Or-lan-do, which at least nearly rhymes with soul. Thirded. Absolutely baffled at how popular it became. "Gold" rhymes with "soul",...

Re: First Mascot?

It was actually seeing that nightmarish dumpling-face that prompted the question in the first place, to see if we too had ever opened the gates of hell for entertainment.

Re: First Mascot?

So while Norwich had the likes of Captain Canary *and* (the terrifying) Norfolk Dumpling in the early 80s. The best we had prior to the late 90s was a rumbustious newspaper seller. I don't know whether to be proud or disappointed at this news. It feels like we missed a trick by not having something ...

First Mascot?

I've tried google to no avail, but I was wondering...

Was Kingsley our first ever mascot? Or did we have one before him? I'm assuming we didn't have a giant biscuit running along the touch line in the biscuitmen days, but was there any rudimentary pitchside cheerleading figure before Kingsley?

I'm guessing the answer is "no", but I'm on holiday and I want to listen to the commentary... Is there any way to circumvent the licensing laws so I don't have to refresh HNA/BBC for updates?

Re: Why don't the club subsidise away tickets?

But wouldn't it also ultimately cause ticket inflation to the detriment of the away club? If the host club knows that having higher prices won't impact away attendance as it has been capped by an outside party, they could hike up prices and force the visiting club to pay over the odds. Scaled across...
