Re: BFIFollow Brentford

Ejaria slows the game down. Short passess, no shots, few crosses. Beginning to wonder what contribution he actually makes to the team. He does fancy tricks which look great on YouTube, and had a good couple of months at the start of the season...so our fans love him. So what does he contribute? Rep...

Re: BFIFollow Brentford

Snowflake Royal Just to check, was I the only one who still quite enjoyed the game despite being disappointed with the performance and result?

You might well be

I quite enjoyed it until 2-0 but after that it was pretty painful

Re: Rival Watch

WestYorksRoyal
Hound so they really need to keep their decent run going? Would put them back on 38 points and bottom of the table by 3

Their run in involves back to back games against Barnsley, Hull and Charlton. You'd think they need at least 6 points from those 3.

good news for us then

Re: Rival Watch

Going into Administration (points-deduction-wise) is hardly the same as Fair Play rules, is it? Unless Wigan have realised they have a window to do the dirty? did wonder if they have decided to take their chances on a points deduction now rather than next season. not sure what it would be but would...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (h) sponsored by end of season apathy

He wasn't having a good game, but it must be galling regularly getting hooked when you're playing better than Swift and Ejaria still. usual cliche, but no one should be happy when they are being subbed should they? Be far more worried if he broke out into a big smile when his number came up They sh...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (h) sponsored by end of season apathy

Olise had just misplaced the last 5 or 6 passes he made and went down heavily looking pretty tired afterwards? Dont get me wrong, he was just as bad as everyone else - but if he is having a bad game but thinks if oxf*rd bullshit with being taken off i am not sure what that says about the whole team...

Re: BFIFollow Brentford

I think Dellor has been allowed by his bosses and his own ego to forget what his job is, he is a commentator and no more than that. He is there to tell the listener what is happening on the pitch and not to offer his opinions. Mick and Ady are there to provide us with their opinions as former Readi...

Re: BFIFollow Brentford

Sorry, one other talking point for me and it is regarding Tim and Micks favouritism. It was very obvious in the first half and so frustrating to listen to. Whenever one of their preferred players does something wrong it is "thats not like them" or "shame that didn't come off" an...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (h) sponsored by end of season apathy

From where we were when Bowen took over to now - he has done very well - he got results together which barring defeat in all our remaining games he has kept us up with a very slight flirtation with play offs with 9 games to go. Back from lockdown, to me the players are on holiday, fatigued, letharg...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

Brentford have a different model and one that has really worked for them. No academy as such, hoover up lots of academy discards to play in their B team etc. Signings based on stats etc. Clearly a good overseas scouting network

I don't think its an easy one to simply replicate sadly

Re: Squad for 2020/21

I look at Brentford with a bit of envy as it reminds me of the sort of team we used to be. Promotion to the Premier League in 2012 was the absolute worst thing that could have happened to us, gave AZ the ability to approve players on ridiculous wages and started the trend of spending way more than ...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

WestYorksRoyal Could there be some decent frees and bargains available this summer due to covid chaos? A shrewd operation could probably do some great deals. Sadly recent history shows we are not a shrewd operator.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a) sponsored by Sean Evers

I think there will definitely be some changes. Yesterday was unacceptable and we've such a large squad, I'd be amazed if we didnt shake it up Hopefully Pele is back fit. Moore was taken apart yesterday but I'll expect he will stay on. I'd drop him personally. Expect we'll see something like Rafael ...

yeah, we were talking of £10m for Ejaria when he was on form. He is still very young and has all the tools. Lets not write him off on a couple of months average form

Re: The next 5 games - a key point in our season

The time has come to drop Moore. He really is in poor form at the moment. Give Tom McIntyre a chance. Bring in Pele and rest Olise. God knows what what we do upfront. None of Puscas, Baldock or Meite look like scoring. Pele did himself no favours by letting his fitness drop significantly through lo...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

Obviously easier said then done to get rid of a few players. At this stage I'd be happy enough to see Moore go if it freed up a bit of money, Swift if we could get a decent amount for him, and all the out of contract players. Obvs just bin off Aluko any way we can. Walker if we can as well. Puscas i...
