Re: Back from listening to the game v preston on the radio

2) In the background I could see Preston using high lux lighting rigs to encourage grass growth on their pitch. Maybe we ought to be doing that? Probably due to the fact sunlight is an alien concept in that part of the world Noticed on the Hull highlights last night their pitch is as awful as ours....

Re: Rival Watch

Us, Sheffield Weds and Leeds have similar run ins. Prob Weds have the hardest due to hose dour northern derbys they have away from home. I reckon they'll be the team to miss out to be honest. I didn't think much of them when they came to us. Pressure is really on them on Friday - a defeat would be d...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a) sponsored by WarmUpGate

Hence why I said poor/injured/unused - he falls into the injured category

Finally got round to watching the highlIghts. Just frustrating individual errors for each - the second particularly a right mess. Two players tripping each other over, and the scabby horrible finish from their player

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a) sponsored by WarmUpGate

Definitely one of the biggest concerns is how ineffective the loan signings &Popa/Ilori have been. Thought they'd add the bit of quality to get us over the line, but they have been poor/injured/unused

Coupled with Swift and Kelly losing form, Jaap has a problem to solve

Re: Back from listening to the game v preston on the radio

We only really have Weds and Leeds of the top sides left to play and both are very beatable - but I don't really fancy our chances at villa or Norwich either.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a) sponsored by WarmUpGate

I'm not massively fussed about promotion this year but missing out on the play offs would be a kick in the teeth after being top 4 most of the season

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a) sponsored by WarmUpGate

Preston aren't excellent, just a solid side with a good home record We need to learn a new way to play away from home. Just getting picked off at the moment by anything other than the dross in the division. Not scoring and making horrific defensive mistakes A week of hard work for Stam and co awaits...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a) sponsored by WarmUpGate

Leeds and Weds dropping points saving it from being too terrible a day

I reckon Fulham are nailed on the way they are playing for a p-o place. Sheff Weds, Leeds and us being equally as inept and scratchy as us at the moment

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a) sponsored by WarmUpGate

Poor half but always had this down as a defeat

We urgently need to sort out our away form though - been very poor for a while

Just hoping villa hold on and Newcastle get at least a point, coz I can't see us coming back. Likewise can't see us getting anything from Sheff Weds,

Re: Rival Watch

Can very much see Fulham winning there.

Sheff Weds 1 down. Starting to think that Fulham more dangerous than Weds

Re: Rival Watch

Certainly ends any minor chance Derby had of getting in. Defending which would shame my 7 year old's club side

Basically only really taking notice of Sheff Weds, Leeds and Fulham now

done. Extra 100 quid for early bird is a good saving. 750 for 4 of us for the season is great value to be honest, esp when they will undoubtedly throw in a few vouchers etc for the club shop Worthwhile to ensure get decent seats every game, and have enjoyed this season a great deal, and think there ...

Re: Preston (A) Team and Predictions

can't be any worse than what we endured last year watching 10 african violet lemmings simply stroll around for 90 minutes, was genuinely embarrassed to be a reading fan walking away from the ground that day. Jesus I'd almost forgotten how bad it was, though tbf you could say the same for most of ou...

Re: Best midfield combination?

It's a tough one. At this moment I'd like to see Williams/Joey/Swift play against Preston but I wouldn't nec say they are our best midfield for all games Long term Swift/Evans/Kelly certainly looks to have a massive amount of potential but I think Joey adds necessary experience for that DM role at t...
