Re: How good is Cristiano Ronaldo?

I like Ronaldo and his running with the ball and shooting is outstanding in English football and a pleasure to watch. Why though does everybody the have to say that he is the best footballer in the world? Why this fixation with "the best?" For all we know there may be some kid playing in B...

Re: this board boils down to this

I thought this was a discussion board where fans that worry about their club chat about the rights and wrongs of their club.
The "support" and all that "back the boyz" stuff is what happens at a game and not on here.

Re: 2007/08 SEASON BETTING THREAD.

Here's how you win £3000. no risk. Put £1000000 on Derby relegation @ 1/1000. Put £1000 on Reading relegation @ 3/1. (Corals have these odds). You will get your £1000 back off the Derby bet, the rest is money for nothing. With that same £1million which is so easy for us to come up with you wo...

Re: Kitson for England

The last thing RFC need now is Kitson being given a call up. At best it will be an unwanted distraction/diversion, at worse he will pick up an injury. Surely it would give both him and the squad a lift? He's more likely to get injured when training or driving his car.................or rushing to c...

Re: The table doesn't lie.

HR, If we do get relegated you can have my away season ticket. I'll renew the home one because that is what I do every other Saturday, travel up to Reading, see a few of the family and friends and go to watch our team. The away trips, other than to Southampton,Plymouth and a few others will not be on m...

Re: 2007/08 SEASON BETTING THREAD.

At the moent on betfair we are 6.8 to be relegated. We are 2.12 to win tomorrow's game. There is probably some mileage in backing both to the right stakes,i.e more on the win bet. If Reading win tomorrow there is a profit plus an ongoing free bet on relegation. If we don't win tomorrow or draw the ...

Re: The table doesn't lie.

Feeling just as low as everybody else today and whoever posted about yesterday feeling like THAT day away at Oxford summed it up well. For once the fans on a message board see things as they are and have done for some time-teams that get tonked 7-4 and 6-4 generally get relegated-whereas the people ...

Re: Reality check

You morons will get a reality check in three months' time when we go down as a result of Coppell's lack of bottle. Yeah I agree Royalficklee Coppell is Rubbish always has been he just got lucky the last couple of seasons. He's a decent football league manager, but there is a HUGE difference nowaday...

Re: How we stack up against the opposition in terms of signings

I see that according to the OS, Kebe is still carrying a knock, has not been training and is not expected to be ready until 23rd February at the earliest! Well that's an immediate strengthening of the right wing (or any other position) not!! Oh, and just to reduce our choice of fit wingers even fur...

Re: Play Simon Cox Please..............

So we go into the final third of the season with 3 strikers plus Shane Long or is Kebe the answer to everything? Not asking a lot from an unproven player from the second tier of French football. Good luck to young Cox-he struck me as an inbetween type of player,i.e not that big,not that quick and no...

Re: Reality check

we have signed a player that plays for an international team that IS going to Euro 2008 he can't be a muppet! we need to see him start a game soon! assuming kits is still ill on saturday, at home against a team struggling to score and that put 9 men behind the ball v newcastle i'd go with usa murts...

If you do get called up Dave stay away from the little runt from Chelsea who might be playing left-back or else you could get into some real trouble.

Re: 2007/08 SEASON BETTING THREAD.

Spud Reading tonight curently 18.5 on Betfair, which has to be said is HUGE

Had a look on Betfair and latest price was 22.
What struck me as a bit of value was 5.1 for a sending-off.
With recent history between the clubs that might not be a bad bet but I'd be more confident if Sonko were playing.

Re: Villa Match moved

I would find it highly amusing if the fans just point-blank refused to turn up for one of these stupidly timed fixtures. Can't see it happening, and at the end of the day it probably wouldn't make a shred of difference, but it would be great seeing how the Sky commentators handled having a virtuall...

Re: How we stack up against the opposition in terms of signings

Like Vision I'm not totally convinced about Routledge-I thought that a similar player to him in Jobi McAnuff was going to go on to be a star and I felt the same about Ashley Young when he first played against us for Watford-same goes for Lee Cook. Only Young has really progressed but the others are ...

pathetic. absolutely pathetic.why do they even need to move it? just so we can fit in with their viewing schedules. i thinks its pretty clear where the authorities allegiances lie. they are letting television get monopoly over whether the proper fans can enjoy the game or not. i have never been ang...

Re: 2007/08 SEASON BETTING THREAD.

Reading tonight curently 18.5 on Betfair, which has to be said is HUGE Take the emotion out as we all obviously want Reading to win. A team that has picked up just 3 points (draws, not wins)out of a possible 33 against a team that hasn't lost at home for something like nearly 3 years and were the ch...

Re: RUMOUR : RFC not signing anyone else.

Rooney and Tevez might be midgets, but they somehow manage to be quite good strikers in a quite good team. In that game they were controlled by Cisse. How many other central defenders have done such a good job on them? What he did went beyond that, though, his performance gave confidence to the res...

Re: RUMOUR : RFC not signing anyone else.

just because a central midfielder has had a couple of decent games up against midgets. Still this Jimmy is 6 ft tall so he'll probably end up playing there-problem solved. Tevez, Rooney, Ronaldo, Berbatov, Keane, Lennon - Midgets?!?!? And your point is what exactly? You are a better player if you a...
