IMO we are putting too much emphasis on this "Premiership experience" factor, almost as if it's some crucial quality which immediately makes a player different, suggesting that the Prem is a world apart from any other league. I put more faith in SC's skill in spotting talent - and there's...

The infantile obsession with "Prem experience" grows more wearing by the day. Thanks for last season, Chris, you gave us good service whenever it was needed whilst being unfortunate not to have played more often. I guess if we'd spent £5m on Emile Heskey there wouild be a few less soiled...

I would say using a utility player at centre back would not be the scenario i would like to see.I was just trying to chuck a few ideas out there just to see possibly what people thought sc options could be come the end of the month. fair point. I know its not for the want of trying but it has supri...

In terms of defence our two top targets were obviously lesoctt and mensah and unfortunatley those signings didnt come off. Who they had in mind to sign after that (presuming they had other targets) who knows? but i think bikey has to be worth a look and i would bet that if sc thinks john halls can ...

As for our Premiership experience, the likes of Marcus, Stack, Ivar were at Premiership clubs for a while, but they never really played and even in Osters and Makin's cases, their experience is minimal and quite a while back now. It hardly counts in my book. Yes i agree with your point above! The ve...

Why the panic? Makin is not a regular in the first team. Its no big deal. Ever heard of cover, squad depth? I'm disappointed at this. Makin was a good, solid defender with plenty of experience. There must be some other signings imminent..................there must be. I agree- it all seems ...

I'm shocked that Russia seems to be a backward country. I am shocked at this statement Having been to Moscow a few times i can safely say that it is very multi cultural- lots of chinese, mongolians and khazaks mix with Eastern Europeans. There did seem to be pockets of trouble though and parts of it...

The realms of probability suggest that this season is going to be a struggle. I know a Watford supporter who went to most of their games last time they went up in the Premiership. The supporters knew it was going to be a struggle and made every game like their Cup Final. We have achieved something ...

No matter how we perform we are always going to get people moaning that 'Coppell should have done this, Coppell should of done that'.quote] Exactly, and thats what HNA is for.... Complaining, moaning, talking nonsense. Being positive, being negative, stressing about lack of signings, complaining ab...

Oster played his part in a record 106 point championship season, to berate his 'lack of concentration' is very short sighted. When Little was out towards the seasons end, Oster played in many games which co-incided with our as yet unbeaten run after Luton. I can fully accept peoples frustrations at ...

I am going to have a punt and say Leroy will be the most effective striker next season- i really think we have only seen the beginning of his talents.

I just hope that Reading are not going to get 'gazumped' here- Mensah would be a key signing for us, especially as we are in desperate need of a CB. The big problem is who else are we linked with in that position???- Davenport and thats it- i dont want panick buys!

This is good news if it all goes through. An obvious talent added to our ranks, though a little suprised he will arrive with plenty of competition on the right already. Having said that he plays in the middle too so seems to adapt pretty well. Two more centre backs and a midfielder and thats me happy!

Hang on who says that Mensah is worth 4.2 Million- does the News of the World employ its own Nigel Howe as well now????!
