Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

I have it from an insider (favourite restaurant’s Spanish waitres’s brother works at the MadStad) that it’s a cumulative effect caused by the under-pitch heating, which only Kelly has found a counter to: flapping his arms and running in figures of eight means the geas has no effect on him.

Re: BFTG Leeds Home

Anyone know why Swift was booked last night on 82 minutes? I'd switched off long before then. No mention made in any report I can find. Thanks in advance. When I saw it it I thought it was because he was spoken to twice before about fouling and had just fouled again in a similar manner to the first...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (h) sponsored by Brian McDermott

I’ve just about unfrozen from last night. And that despite ethanol fortification beforehand. The Championship gap top to bottom seems like the Premiership. And yesterday was the equivalent of ‘pool against ‘diff. Love how the “big” (budget) clubs bring (bought) their own referees. The worry for 2019...

CountryRoyal Can’t see past a comfortable away win. 0-3.

At least those of us who go will enjoy the company of the forgiving, cerebral Leeds fans, so unlike the Wigan elite. No doubt there will be a few more of them to share insights with, too.

Re: Bftg- Wigan (h)

The ref and his myopic assistant on the East Stand completely failed to notice the thug Olsson deliberately lead with his fist in an early aerial challenge with Loader, even though it was right under their noses. Yep, that got an ooof from a lot in Y21. Loader should have made more of that. Why did...

Re: Bftg- Wigan (h)

For what it's worth I thought Loader did quite well at being a nuisance up front against the bigger and stronger Olsson. As you'd know, he'd better get used to that in this div. It is what it is, and we don't get to make the rules. It will be no use us playing the sympathy card each week. But yes, ...

Best first ten minutes and last ten minutes for a while. Atmosphere like old days. First back to back wins for TWO YEARS, I think.

Was our manager given the yellow for chucking something?

sandman So far his football is about as exciting as reading a RoyalBlue post.

I'm finding I don't fall asleep as often as I did under Stamball so I'm taking that as an improvement - of sorts.

It’s just that mostly the excitement comes from whether “they” equalise in the 85th or beat us in the 92nd.

Re: BFTG Rotherham

The usual knee jerk nonsense in here I see. It's not though is it? People are saying the same things they've said all season about games against the teams around us and our inability topit the game away. These players continually fail to learn week after week and produce the same mistakes over and ...

Wasn’t it in the first half, when they crossed left to right 6 yards out, and their twinkle-toes at full stretch couldn’t quite reach It?

Well, they’re right about (only) one thing: It’ll be a bit harder for their silken team than it would have been a month ago.

Re: BFTG - Blackburn

What a great night. After the first thirty minutes I had visions of a Lego version of Man City and Chelski from last weekend. Facepalmed when I saw Kelly next to Swift. Cried when Richards was forced to play out of position. Luckily, Swansea’s luck didn’t hold for the rovers. That lob of Mr Oliveira...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (h) sponsored by Gunnarsson hitting the bar

tbf, the red button is a dodgy stream in my experience of it :) I'd have Baker, Swift, Rino, Ejaria and Ezatohli (if he is ever fit again) all ahead of Kelly in those CM positions personally I'd have Mick Gooding in there ahead of him. Well in twenty four hours we’ll know, and hopefully any facepal...

Decent all round, without looking too menacing. Defending has improved massively, and confidence is back. Credit to jose, in a short space of time we've turned a corner. 2 months ago villa would've won that easily. Um, last August we drew with a Baldock 93 minute pen. Lovely day out then and all th...

Re: BFTG Villa

Odd how the ref seemed unwilling to give yellows initially. Then they must have burned a hole in his pocket, and he couldn’t pull them out fast enough. Oh, and contesting a ball in the air is now an automatic free kick against Reading. Still not enough protest from our lot, yet he had a permanent re...

Zip Oh and 1871 seemed to have found a drum.

I thought that was someone in 1871 beating their chest? Their numbers seemed a tad depleted, so just as well.
