Check out Orlando City's new stadium plans. It is a 25,000 Madejski Stadium style arena. I love the emphasis on atmosphere and crowd noise. There is a big safe standing section behind the goal. http://www.orlandocitysc.com/stadium Wow..It's like the Mad stad is looking in a mirror .....and thinking...
I'm all for mocking the self righteous muppetry that appears on NSC, but I don't think that's the case in this instance. Yes, to be fair most of the comments are in the style of "I don't like them but hope they don't get stitched up". Although there is this one: "I'd very happy to se...
To be honest, apart from the one bloke overloading the irony meter with the "found loads of fans when they built the stadium" comment, their responses are fairly measured and sensible although they all seem to unfailingly believe the article.
Well, I did check a number of sources because the figure varied so greatly but the most consistently quoted figure was between £6.25m and £6.5m which seemed the fairest figure to quote.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Birmingham_City_F.C._records_and_statistics#Transfers Hmmm...... Heskey was £3.5m up front but with add ons, eventually cost them £6.25m. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emile_Heskey#Birmingham_City At the end of the 2003–04 season, Heskey signed for Birmingham C...
We must be one of the few clubs in the top two tiers not to have broken our transfer record in the last 9 year. But how many of those clubs have tripled their record signing in one go. I'll give you Burton who's record signing before this summer was £20,000 and who's record signing is still only in...
Big +1, I fundamentally object to teams in the second tier splashing £5m+ on a single player... it's bonkers. ,, I do think Hogan is an excellent player but considering the club have never paid more than £3m for a player, it does concern me that we're prepared to triple that figure for a player wit...
As good as Hogan appears to be, I'm not sure I feel comfortable with this much money being thrown around straight away. Big +1, I fundamentally object to teams in the second tier splashing £5m+ on a single player... it's bonkers. ,, I do think Hogan is an excellent player but considering the club h...
To be fair to those Arsenal fans calling for Wengers head they've had to sit through the best part of 10 years of paying the top whack for their tickets whilst seeing, in their opinion, under investment in obvious weaknesses in their squad. I wouldn't be too impressed with Wenger over the last 10 y...
I don't so much think "We're in a false position". It's more "Really?" Another way to look at where we are currently is that we are (narrowly) "top of the rest" with two sides clearly classier and almost nailed on for the automatics and the rest of us squabbling over t...
I was commenting more about people on the outside looking in, saying we are in a false position. Brighton and Newcastle are where they are because they are the 2 standout teams, Brighton have given Hughton the time to build a squad and they are settled Newcastle have a certain manager and the resour...
We've played all but one of the other teams in the division now so anyone who still thinks we're in a false position is frankly talking out of their arse.
