Re: Smallest Attendance You've Been Part Of

631 when we played away to Chester when they played their home games in Macclesfield. It was dreadful.

Re: How good/bad was Phil Parkinson?

As many have said, what he lacked in quality he more than made up for effort. One of McGhee's best signings. A Reading great!

Re: Non - League thread 2013/14

Cracking game at Krooner Park where Camberley's biigest gate of the season, 201, saw an entertaining draw with Windsor. The visitors raced into a 2-0 lead with both from Omar Riaz - the second being an absolute pearler into the top corner. Camberley preseed and Cortnage in the Windsor goal was at hi...

Re: Old Reading Footage on VHS/film/Youtube

And going back to that game at Exeter where we won 6-4, I was as ill as a very ill person and Ark Royal predicted the 6-4 scoreline before the game.

Out of curiosity, is there a link to the game at Turf Moor when we won 1-0 with a Mick Gooding header in 1994/95?

That Utd shirt, if genuine which I doubt, would not have been out of place at Anfield in the early 1990s.

Re: Non - League thread 2013/14

That's the first time I have heard Dan Hicks be described as Glen Littlesque. He is a centre back and it showed! Ha, certainly has the height to play there I guess so that figures! Thought he looked comfortable on the ball and was always trying a clever through ball or reverse pass. Enjoyed the art...

Re: Non - League thread 2013/14

Word at Stag Meadow was that the attendance was well short of that which has been released. The general concensus being that there were at least a hundred fewer. As for the game, Windsor should have had it wrapped up at half time. Too many gilt edged chances went begging and had we gone in 4-0 up, ...

Re: Non - League thread 2013/14

I guess that the best way I can describe Windsor's win against Colliers Wood was that it was akin to The Great Escape. I really do like the way CWU approach games against us. They have bags of pace and movement going forward and pretty solid at the other end of the pitch. We huffed and puffed a lot ...

No apology on the piece of paper detailing how to get a refund and get this...you only have a few days to put the cheque from the club in the bank!! That's after they've had your money for months!! Shambles on top of a shambles!!! :  Rother perhaps Mr Stott just rubs me up the wrong way but ...

Re: Euro 2016 Thread

The problem is, half the country and press think he's World Class, so Woy would get slaughtered for dropping him. And he's made the overrated moron captain too, making it twice as hard to do. And whilst Sturridge is out there isn't really much in the way of other decent options. We've had a dearth ...

Re: Non - League thread 2013/14

Enjoyed my trip to Knaphill. Parking was ok and there were at least 100 in attendance. The burgers were excellent and the best I have had at that level. The programme was also excellent - a really professional production and unbelievable value at £1. We weren't at our best and the pitch, while in ex...

Re: Wolves (H) - I'm looking forward to....

I think Harry's memory is failing him. The Wolves League Cup tie was in the 78/79 season (second round). We were 4th Division and they were 1st and Pat Earles nodded in the winner at the Town End. The incident with the leg falling off was in the 4th round at home to Southampton when we drew 0-0. We ...

Re: Non - League thread 2013/14

A thoroughly enjoyable game at Stag Meadow yesterday. Mole Valley fully played their part and it was a lot closer than the 6-0 scoreline would suggest. As for the referee, I felt he let too much go and that it was only a matter of time before it would all kick off. A second for Windsor early in the ...
