Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Just a thought, considering that Dai isn`t exactly on the EFLs Christmas card list at the minute do you think if a takeover isn`t completed by the time the fixtures are released in June that they would expel us from the league? I`m sure they wouldn`t want this shambles to continue into next season ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Shrewsbury Town (h)

Obviously, a disapointing result. Although he could have done better for the first goal, it wasn't Button's fault. The referee wasn't perfect, but he was OK, and it wasn't his fault. Mola was nothing like as bad as some people seem to be suggesting, it wasn't his fault. Not Wing, nor Azeez, nor Sell...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

That was much more of a struggle then it needed to be. Vale were mostly poor. Persistence and hard work won it for us, even if quality was in short supply. Even before his goal Wing was my MOTM. And what a strike that was. But then he’s my player of the season, so I may be biased. Mbengue, Binden an...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

I do till feel we need to try to grab as many points whilst everyone basically is fit. Still scares me that we rely on Azeez who was perma-injured before this year, then Smith who gets a beating every game, plus Wing and Knibbs who have played a lot this season I'm with Hound on this one. We will s...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Fleetwood Town (a)

A lot of us may be suffering from over confidence about tonight, but I expect neither the management nor the team will be. This should be winnable, but it's likely to be anything but routine. Woudn't do any harm to rest Smith - something like Ehibhatiomhan in the centre with Mukairu on the left and ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Charlton Athletic (h)

Finished the game with abrefa 20, Bindon 19, Dorsett 21, and cheeseburger 22. I doubt there is a younger back 4 in the football league. And to be honest I wouldn’t be too disheartened if we started with them the way they’ve all been playing Who the fukk is Cheesburger ? just use the players names i...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Charlton Athletic (h)

BFTG. MOTM - for me, Wing. I know most are going for Azeez - goals win games, hardest thing to do is score, etc. But Wing was super-charged, influencial for 95 minutes, non-stop. I did see him having to be restrained from going after Smith - and hope it's just passion and everything will die down. C...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Oxford United (a)

I forgot to give the referee a mention. Several times, for both sides, he waited after a foul to see if there was an adavnatge, and when it was clear there was, called play back for a free kick. Otherwise, he was generally weak, inconsistent and wrong. In a season when most of the officiating has be...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Oxford United (a)

Dorsett struggled all game and looked out of his depth. Azeez didn't put a foot right. Wing, Yiadom and Binden the pick of the bunch, Knibbs and Craig lots of effort but not enough composure. Great cameos from Wifi and Savage. TVP a bit heavy handed I thought. On BBC Oxford their lot were describing...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leyton Orient (h)

I’m defiantly glass half full about this one. Very even game against a good Orient side in excellent form. Took some good defending and getting their bodies in the way to block to stop us scoring a second goal, although they also created some decent half chances. I thought Wing was excellent throug...

Not a big hitter by volume of posts, but a bit of seniority, as I've been around here since the year 2000.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Just flatten it all and get on with building the Biscuit Tin Megadome somewhere dayn tayn Sadly my plan to buy up the buildings around the cattle market and build a new stadium there was foiled by my Euromillions ticket not winning. That would be a perfect location. Even better with a roller disco ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

I was of the understanding that the Thais own the car park for the royal elm park development whenever that comes to fruition. I think that's right from what was in the Chronicle. Saw some plans for "Royal Elm Park" which covers all of the current car park. There is a multi-story car park...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (h)

… A mention for the ref, I thought he did well despite giving 14 fouls to Derby compared to our 2, Derby's game plan seemed to be to win a free kick and nick a goal from a set piece, the ref resisted awarding a lot of soft fouls they played for. …. Entirely agree - I thought the ref had a really go...

Re: Confrimed - Abbey and Holmes going

NGW, along with Holmes, Carroll, Hutchinson, Dean - when fit - were all first team choices. All clashed with Selles. All dropped. Now, some can argue their replacements were an upgrade. I also see that a manager has to deal with players who might become disruptive - Selles has kept a more cohesive t...

Re: Selles In

He's doing well now and has been since November. But his start wasn't simply "slow". It was an utter disaster and it could ultimately still relegate us. I think he has earned more time, but in any normal circumstances I would say 1 point from 8 is sackable form unless you have goodwill fr...

Re: Selles In

Managers often don't get enough time to adapt to their new job. In his case, Selles was saved by the chaos off the pitch as well as being hampered by it. it bought him time, but made his job extra diffcult. For me it comes down to one thing. Bad managers stick to their plan and don't make changes. G...

Harvey Knibbs is one of the hardest working players I have seen in 23 years watching Reading. Winning challenges, making himself available for passes, running on and off the ball. Outstanding.

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

The EFL seem to be on our side...

We got away with it once, it made the point, now don't do it again (unless we're mathmatically relegated and Dai is till here).
