Re: Rival Watch

I see Rotherham are making waves in this transfer market: Sean Morrison Leo Hjelde (Leeds) Tariq Fosu Jordan Hugill Conor Coventry Fosu and Hugill should be good acquisitions for them, not to sure about the others. Just wondering if these are good moves or panic stations. I guess we'll soon see.

Re: Our defence.

Hendrick taking up Ince's position to push him out wide is one of the crazier ideas I've read on here. Maybe I'm wrong here but I'm pretty sure that is and pretty much always was Inces's preferred and best position. Sean Dyche has also gone on record as saying Hendricks best position is just behind...

Re: Our defence.

I agree with this. We seem weaker when they’re both in the team, 1 of them alongside an experienced pro in a 4-man defence would suit either better. I originally thought TMac was the better player but Holmes seems to have surpassed him this season. Maybe there's a mental issue here also. Maybe beca...

Re: Our defence.

I think both Holmes and McIntyre are decent young players but they need to be playing alongside experienced and, just as importantly, very vocal team-mates. Personally I don't see any of our current experienced defenders doing enough talking and organising on the pitch. Regardless of what faults he...

Re: Ince out!

Parkys success in the ‘professional leagues” was a long time time ago too…at Colchester…he flunked his lines afterwards. Would love to see an ex Reading legend to take charge…Parky may have matured a bit as a manager, …but he still has a long way to go to get to the standard that we require….he sti...

Re: PInce - Concerns Developing - Is He Confused?

100% agree Yorkie, however, as much as I would love to see a successful Pince here forever, I think he has built enough credits back, and will be an attractive proposition to move on to another borderline basket-case club to rescue….big respect to him, regardless I'm not sure why he'd want to do th...

Re: Ince out!

^ exactly Heart says, give him that chance he deserves, head says, move on We’ve failed in recent years on both counts. If he does leave i really hope we learn from our lessons with previous foreign managers!! Ince has knowledge of the English game and i believe this has helped us massively, and th...

Re: Ince out!

Ince has done a lot of good behind the scenes and the club is in a better place for this. I'm sure his experience has helped with this from playing with Utd and abroad at Milan, however, Ince is no Manager!! He is tactically naive, has no idea of his first eleven and continues to play players out of...

Re: BFTG QPR

I like P.Ince as a man manager, motivator and everything he has helped build behind the scenes, however, his tactical awareness and persistence with "Square pegs in round holes" and this horrible style on boring football is slowly grinding me down!! We have the majority of the squad fit ag...

Re: Rumour - Jordan Hugill

That's a little optimistic in my view. Aging striker who was once highly rated but never lived up to expectations and has been on the slide for a while - if that's what we're setting up for next season, I'd pass because I think we can do better in the summer. Who do you think we could get that is b...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Queens Park Rangers (h)

Fully agree I’d rather not see baba and Yiadom as wing backs but suspect that’s the way he’ll go Neither are naturals there, slightly suprising with Yiadoms history as a winger but he is better suited to RCB or RB in a 4. Id just take NGW over Baba full stop. I think the issue with Yiadom is that w...

Re: January transfer window 2023

AC extended till Summer 2024 thrilled with that he loves it here. This is a great bit of news!! Just having him around the club and passing on his experience to all our youngsters is worth its weight in gold. I can only imagine what he's like in the dressing room during the build up to a game :D Th...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Watford (h)

I don't think RR will get too many bonus points with that Joao prediction. He is on the back run of his career. Still worth mentioning yet again that his goalscoring record for us at Champuonship level remains excellent. The back run of his career? He’s 29 FFS, he really shouldn’t be on a decline y...

Re: Injury watch 2022/23

Oh well With Sarr, Dann, Holmes, Hutchinson, Mbengue, Abbey, Yids and McIntyre who all play as CB then this latest set back really isn't an issue...and i really think that'll be the last we ever see him in a Reading shirt. Lets face it, i would like to think we are right on or past the 50 point mar...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Watford (h)

About 15-20 years ago (whenever we were in the PL) I created a bit of an HNA storm when I started a thread entitled “I am bored of watching Leroy Lita” (when he was still a fans’ favourite) in which I predicted he would be the new Leon Knight and quickly drop down the leagues - all correct as it tu...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (a)

I hate singling players out, especially after a good result and team performance but João was absolutely dire tonight. Really wasn't at it and looked totally disinterested again. Would happily sell him if it means Carroll and Mbengue stay until the end of the season 100% with this, i know he has ex...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (a)

If, say he would accept 10k a week it’s getting 25k off the wage bill, and there won’t be many better cb’s we could get through the door for 10k pw if he produces the form that we know he has in his locker. I’ve never been on board with the Moore hate. And there are always two sides to every story....

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (a)

Great result and a well played game from Reading. Credit to Pince for the subs, bringing on Meite and NGW clearly gave us that additional attacking threat especially down the left. NGW is a raw talent but so much better than Babba and TMac in that position. I really hope Pince gives him an extended ...
