Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Club 1871 were horrendous again on Saturday but decided to give it the big I am afterwards on social media claiming credit for the victory more or less. The phrase 'sing when you're winning' has never been so apt when it comes to them. Why are you such a sad and bitter person about a group of fans ...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

South stand was disappointing against Bolton, but it did still improve the atmosphere compared to what it's like without them. It might not have lasted all game or entirely met the organisers objectives, but it dramatically out performed every other section of Reading fans. How about those who thin...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

People on here saying it's a failure after 2 games  always going to be a slow process, like someone said, they're not going to be ultras overnight. Also, they can't control what everyone is singing who comes into the group, that would be near impossible. Young lads have been chanting at away f...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Keep up the good works lads! Thoroughly enjoyed my time in there at the end of last season despite the football on the pitch. I can only imagine the hard work you've all put in, so don't let any negative fans bring you down and keep it up! This will grow as the season goes on if you carry on doing w...

Snowflake Royal How do you move to club 1871? I missed it when renewing yesterday?

I just rung up the club and they moved me there. Also, gave me £50 refund as well which is a result.

Re: Club 1871

I've just renewed my Season Ticket with Club 1871, really looking forward to it. Even though we didn't play well vs Sunderland and Ipswich, i still really enjoyed myself in the South Stand, which I can only really say at away days when the atmosphere has been good. Makes home games less boring. Hop...

Club 1871

The new south stand singers are definitely a talking point over recent weeks and I could see there has been a lot of positivity about the group as well as other fans who are unsure. One of the members went onto The Tilehurst End for a Q&A and I think it has helped answer a lot of fans questions ...

Re: FAO Season Ticket Holders - Renew or not?

I'll be renewing no matter what division or who is in charge. It's just not about football on the pitch, I have a few pints before with mates in the fan zone and watch the early kick off. I love going to watch the football and having a few drinks with some mates, I hate the summer when there is no ...

Best Reading FC Goal at Madejski: Danny Williams vs Blackburn

Best Opposition goal at Madejski: Colin Kazim-Richards for Brighton 2005/06. That was a beaut.

£15?! Bargain! May have to take a day off work for this one. I always feel like I should reward a clubs ticket approach by actually buying a ticket for the game at those prices. Fair play to Bolton!

Debate on Twitter about having a drummer in Y26. Having seen what having a drummer had done to Huddersfield's support, I think it's a great idea personally.

Re: Birmingham Away 26/08

According to Twitter, we've only sold 500. Absolute shambles. £20 and 2 hours away. If true that is embarrassing tbf. Cue the Twitter pictures of our away end followed by "tinpot" comments. So what? It doesn't make a difference when we smash them 3-0 on the pitch Not bothered about what o...

Re: The idiots of Twitter thread

You do all know you can decide who you follow on twitter don't you? I get the impression some people will follow anyone who mentions Reading or have 1871 in their handle. When I rarely tweet something about the club I always pick up a couple of random followers. A lot of people including myself fol...
