Re: Brian: The right decision?

I've watched this post with disdain, while a little amused, that perhaps some believe we can turn back the clock. That said, today i cast my yes vote, perhaps just in case this thread is locked shortly and i miss my chance, but more importantly to say that while Brian was not good enough to take us ...

Re: FAO The Optimists

The rest of you, get a grip, we are only 9 points off the top and the teams above will start to splutter at some point, once we've sorted the injuries out the wins will come. Actually we're 10 points adrift, but significantly against 3rd/joint 1st! At present we are not in league with the top 3, an...

Re: 1 Swallow

He was brought into the team in unrealistic circumstances and showed pretty good resilience to even appear for a Premeiership side in the situation at the time. The fact that he has remained in the squad and has been given a very good run of appearances must mean that he is rated, and rated by a sig...

It was to be the only game that would integrate the 4 new players to the squad before returning to League action :D

No manager or coach in the management team, this has the makings or being worse than the current arrangement.

Incidentally, if I haven't burnt my bridges with this E-Mail, I have qualifications and title in both and am open to an invite.

Re: How long would it take you to walk to a home match?

Is that six months including overnight breaks though? 10 hours a day I think we planned on, enough for a decent lunch break, a wash wherever there's a stream and a decent kip under the stars. At the end of the day you are escaping a hole and travelling through some pretty other holes with the promi...

Re: How long would it take you to walk to a home match?

28 hours, but this is likely based on mere mortals, at worst those that get in your way ambling along without purpose. I reckon with a good chuff on I could do it in 20 hours, but either way I'd need an overnight stop which defats the object. Discussing the proximity of Syria to our doorstep recentl...

Re: We are going up!

Whooshing aside, if the result was 3 points then fair play, however if the result was a team back on track then some are deluded. Went to the game today, we were awful, and given those on show were on the whole those who picked up under NA at the end of last season, and showed real promise in the ea...

Re: The league table if hitting the woodwork counted as a go

Not good enough. It can only be credible if it includes: A miss within 5cm of the goal - could've been the wind A miss from a header, after all it is foot ball Unbelievable saves Defended off the line (not saved by the goalkeeper) Dodgy off side calls that rule a goal out Goals that should've been o...

Tommy Youlden's Ears Are we sure these are even thoughts? Seems to me that some monkeys found some typewriters.

I can't stop thinking of these cunning monkey's and how they connected a typewriter to the Internet.

What was the subject?

Re: Reading failing to invest

No facts, just opinion, he lost the dressing room in December but recovered by supporting the old guard, but just over a month later that group could once again see that they were carrying the club, dipped their performance and weren't adequately taken to task. Pernaps Brian thought that he was on s...

Redeemed yourself, however while a regulated 8/10 for the English, it's a surly 1/10 for the political correctness :D

Re: Is the next game a 6-pointer?

You open yourself to ridicule on this site by stating no knowledge of what a 6 pointer means, 'surly' means dismal, you meant 'surely' and we're not threatened with regulation, but relegation. Didn't schools start back from the break today!

Re: Jason Roberts

And the indignity of it all is that we had to listen to all his positivity about the team that you can barely call him part of on the BBC Berks post match interviews. After that shambles yesterday i wouldn't have spared anyone the time to add their optimism when it's not being displayed on the pitch...

Re: QPR v Reading Observation

Welcome home and thanks for the insight. After 2 years away in Canada we've returned to season tickets and are enjoying every minute of it. Yep, we'd like the team to be doing better, but we're doing so well as a club. You can't fault the effort in the team, it's just the standard that needs a bit o...

Thanks for thr positive stat, that has lifted me this morning. And they did it without the millions tbat Anton is going to spend in January, after all, there'd be no point in still planning the 2nd tier otherwise.

Re: Villa , " let's take the positives "

I did think that there were 3 worse teams in the Prem after us and it would get better after Everton, but the last 2 have proven that we've now found the best in whatever depth we have in the squad, they're playing to their limit, and possibly mentally tired from it, and it can't get any better, so ...
