Re: Most Disappointing Player in RFC History

Neale Cooper. Was really excited when he joined (c.92?) at the start of the McGhee revolution. Unfortunately I imagined the Neale Cooper of the Ferguson Aberdeen team of the 80s pulling the strings in our midfield. Instead we got some imposter with a ridiculous perm wearing an incredibly small pair ...

Re: Leeds game to be a sell out?

Almost sold out. LOL at people coming back out the woodwork for this. Massively 'greed. LOL at people who still think Leeds are a big club. Oh I suppose that they built one of the largest cantilever stands in the world for a laugh, did they? They know they can fill it. The Sheffield clubs both have...

Re: Spotted - Paul Black

In an echo of Athletico Spizz's post on this subject I had the pleasure of standing next to Paul Black on the terrace at Birmingham in 1990 whilst he was spouting his stupid pro IRA songs. As a seviceman myself at the time who had served in Northern Ireland, I found this particularly annoying and p...

Re: Record Watch

Been to a few of Bangor's home games at Farrar Road this season and a very enjoyable experience for £7 plus £2 for kids! Standing on terracing, good atmosphere etc... My father in law goes to all the home matches aswell. They could break the record away in a localish game at Airbus Broughton on frid...

Re: CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2010/2011 OFFICIAL THREAD

That's nearly two hours I'll never get back. I think you'd be in am minority of world football fans if you thought that was boring. It was the alamo. Maybe, and if you weren't a neutral, but it was just I was expecting it not to be one sided and was hoping for a bit more of attacking intent from Ra...

Re: CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2010/2011 OFFICIAL THREAD

Thought Rangers would at least make a game of it in the second half. But no, they persevered with one up front even though they had to win. Looked like they were playing for a Europa league spot and to keep the score down.

That's nearly two hours I'll never get back.

England should have followed Scotland's example and played a confidence boosting friendly against a local blind school or San Marino.

Re: So i guess Blackpool will now get fined?!

Let's just say we view it differently FR. The Middlesboro situation you mention is a bit different again. They should have played the game even if it meant playing some youth team members. Holloway was not resting some players with niggles but a whole team for tactical reasons. Every team has a squa...

Re: RFC Wishlist

If it is a wish list then i'd like to win the League Cup, FA Cup, Community Shield, Europa League, Premier League and the Champions League. :D I would settle for winning a play-off final or reaching a major cup final. I'd also enjoy beating a full strength "top 4" side on their own patch ...

Re: So i guess Blackpool will now get fined?!

Maybe, but we'll see if the subject of team selection, squads of 25 etc, is raised again in the last few weeks of the season as some clubs scramble to keep their noses in the PL trough.

Re: So i guess Blackpool will now get fined?!

Olly was saying how can you say this is a weakened team? Easy, see if the same 11 or even half the team start against West Ham. I would love it, love it, if Man Yoo play a weakened team against one of their relegation rivals in the final knockings of the seasons. I'm sure Olly will see the funny si...

Re: Marcus Hahnemann

Gary Westwood is a bit of a strange one. Brilliant for a couple of seasons and then suffered an injury when diving to make a save and coliding with a post and was never the same again. Unfortunately it seemed to instill a phobia of going anywhere near the near post!! Danny Honey, honey? For just the...

Re: Back from the game - QPR

Agree with Wimb. The man is wise beyond his years.

As for wanting someone with more ambition, and presumably more money, but with the club's best interest at heart, to take over. Good idea in principle but I think it will be a long wait!

Think when the idea was first muted a couple of years ago the greedy English FA wanted more than an equal split of the revenue pie. £ngli$h FA.

Added to the fact that they probably travelled up yesterday anyway and stayed overnight in a 4 or 5 star hotel. Can't see them leaving at 7am on a coach.
