Re: The Unruined Tommy Smith RUMOUR Thread

winchester_royal 4-3-3 is dependant on technically efficient wingers. We don't have many of those atm.

you mistake wingers for wide players, the best can cut in or go wide, ala Little.

Re: The Unruined Tommy Smith RUMOUR Thread

Please can we not sign Smith, he is not a striker, he is a winger, and we could play Kebe on the left. assuming Hunt goes Why would we do that? Kebe's shit. I wonder if BR will be telling Kebe that? I seem to rcall a few saying that when he played on the left he looked ok, and certainly better than...

Furthermore, to suggest that he would risk the financial meltdown that awaits us when the parachute payments run out, in 12 months time, for one decent set of books, says everything about how little you know about the man. There won't be a financial meltdown, as we are preparing for life at this le...

Re: Sshh! It's how we operate.

No one will buy RFC, for the very reason that it is JM that is selling it. How many clubs have been taken over since it was known that a new owner was required? The team was built in a brick by brick fashion, and has been dismantled in the same way, no real mass exodus like in 95. JM believes that f...

Re: Sshh! It's how we operate.

It is 8k off the wage bill tho, and thats the bottom line, that may well have paid for Doyle or hunts extra, but might have left us with less cover of experienced players, there is a wage budget as well as a transfer budget i would have guessed. 8k == 400k a year, somewhere in the region of 800 ST h...

Huntley & Palmer
Vision I'd like to see Rosenior made captain if only to watch this board explode with fury.

It's only a shame Lita has left to be honest

Well who knows he may return, judging by the other thread.

Gunnar is not the worlds greatest player, but he is honest and hard working, never really let the side down when called upon.

Dirk Gently Hmmm, I think you're stretching things a little when you say we
..... also released a couple of highish earners, in ..... De La Cruz.

Wasn't he on 8k a week or similar, sure a figure was talked about when he was givign 10% to the foundation, it is a high earner for a player hardly appearing.

Re: Sshh! It's how we operate.

You are joking WR, following our relegation last season was perfect for SJM, we made the play-offs relatively easily, we averaged just under 20k at home, we appeared on TV a lot, all brought more money into the club, and we failed to go up, meaning that this is the year for promotion. In the perfect...

Re: SHOULD WE RESIGN LITA?

Glad my post stirred up so much interest. I didn't think for a minute that we would resign him but I do not see the rosy new future for Royals with the current squad and new manager that others seem to see. Yes I know there is still a month and a half to go until the transfer window shuts but how m...

Re: SHOULD WE RESIGN LITA?

Doobs was signed for a reason, short term cover for Sonko i seem to recall, worth £4.5million at one point, so i guess someone thought he was a player. He did a job at Reading, i doubt was ever meant to be long term.

That said he is now at lever more suited to him IMHO.
