Re: JOSE GOMES' BARMY ARMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't really understand the criticism of Loader on here. Looked very cool on the ball and had some nice touches. Yes, he could have been more cynical. However if he had tucked the ball away after rounding the keeper, then everybody on here would be lauding him. Small margins. He needs his first goal...

Re: Loudest ever away fans at Mad Stad?

Villa at home 1-2 seasons back sticks in my mind, when they won for the first time in the league in an evening game. Also Liverpool at home in the PL were always very loud Man United in the cup when we went 3-0 down within about 6 minutes, but then came back to 3-2. They were noisy for periods of t...

Re: Some Iranian guy who I can’t be bothered to spell the name of

He's a full international and played well against Spain and Portugal this summer. Doing him a bit of a disservice to say he will take that long imo. Predict he will start against Preston after the international break. Presumably he'll be away with Iran over the break. Unless Clement has come over a...

Re: Summer Transfers

or not. New 2 year deal signed. Great news. nice, that is good. Makes the decision to give Jaakkola a new deal a bit odd. Would much rather one of the younger guys were the number 2, Jaakkola is a waste of a few grand a week. I would rather he went out on loan. That's worked for the likes of Federi...

SPECULATION - MOHAMED EISA

No rumour at all. This should be the type of signing we should be looking at: - 23 goals in League Two last season; - 23 years old; - Looks quick and create something out of nothing; and - Relatively cheaper wages. It would probably be a lot of money for someone from League Two (£1-2m), but given th...

Re: England’s World Cup Finals 2018

2010 WC was a second round exit.

Think we will manage to get to the quarters with some lacklustre displays. Probably going out to Germany 1-0.

RUMOUR - Chris Baird

I have heard some rumours that we are looking to re-sign Chris Baird following his release from Derby.

Paul Clement is a big fan and made him captain whilst he was at Derby.

Re: RUMOUR- John O’shea set to sign for Reading

I'm fine with him coming in a player-coach capacity.

If he's coming in as a first team squad, then I don't think this is the right way to go. This would consume a good part of our wage budget and is short term at best.

The owners want to knock a stand down and extend the car park. Lower attendances will help justify this.

Re: What was the single biggest mistake we made this season?

Despite the problems with Stam, our squad is full of bang average players. Who came third last season........ Can't be that average. 19th, 17th, 3rd, 18th...that's where we have been. We finished 3rd in a season of playing pretty crap football and ended up with a +4 GD. I think the mentality to ach...

Re: What was the single biggest mistake we made this season?

I think it mainly stems from a poor recruitment policy. We are buying players with bigger reputations, higher wages and "experience" from bigger leagues. We have gone against a policy that worked for many years of bringing in young players with potential from the lower leagues (and on far ...
