Re: Corner Watch

throw ins lately are so annoying. we take an absolute age to take it, there is no movement from the players at all, and then 80 per cent of the time we give it straight back to the opposition. As for corners.....ggggggrrrrrrh. definitely Brian needs time to work on these type of things on the traini...

Re: Would you cash in on Blackman?

Its clear to see he hates playing on the right wing and his effort there matches his sulking. If played as a free striking role that's where his goals will come from. If he isn't played correctly then we may as well offload him.

Re: Playing players in correct positions- the conundrum

I am amazed that there is anyone left in the world that thinks in terms of fixed 4-4-2's or 4-5-1's etc no matter how hard Sky Sports try to push the idea. Watford play a 4-4-2 formation. With an extremely hard working front 2. The team is set up to counter attack. With players of more limit...

Re: BFTG - Blackburn Rovers

I don't get the hate for HRK on here, i thought he was great last night. Worked as hard as any other player out there. Yes he didn't score a goal , but he worked his backside off last night, collect the ball well ran at the defence , kept them busy all night, flicked on for williams goal. Had a shot...

Re: Ferdinand or Hector ?

Ferdinand for me. Hector has been terrible the last 2-3 games, granted he made a good move for our goal on Saturday but otherwise he has made so many mistakes recently. At Fulham for example he was bad from the 1st minute to the last. If Ferdinand is fit i would like to see him come in. incidentally...

Re: TEAMWATCH : Brighton & Hove Albion (h)

I would like to see Taylor left back, obita left wing, GMac right wing and Sa, blackman in the middle.

later bring on ola john to replace obita and tear into them

Re: Team for Derby (H)

For me, McShane was the weakest link last Friday. Didn't he have some sort of thigh muscle problem that prevented him from playing for Ireland during the international break? He's normally so good (based on a limited number of appearances so far). Maybe time to rest him for another match? yes he ha...

Re: Team for Derby (H)

I would imagine Clarke will be a rather different manager now. He's got a significantly better group of players with the balance of skills he wants and a clear objective. Last season he was juggling a weird mix of players with no proper target beyond avoiding a highly unlikely relegation. I know so...

Re: Derby (H) - Prediction Thread

Not sure on this one, although we won 5-1 last game this will be tighter i think. Although we won the last game people complained that our defence looked weaker, well duh! of course it did, the balance has to be right between defence and attack and that blend needs to be right. i go for a 2-1 win fo...

Re: Back from the sofa - Ipswich (H)

People have to remember that McShane was just about fit and it was clear he still had issues with his back, visibly holding it at one point in the first half. i was surprised he started and was fully expecting Hector due to injury. Even at 90 per cent he had a pretty good game.

Re: Ipswich (H) Prediction Thread

Keown would do a job there he was pretty good pre-season. Also Gunter can move in to centre back if needed. And also we have a chelsea player on loan someone hector :-)

Re: Ipswich (H) Prediction Thread

Think we will sneak it 2-1. The main issue is what is going to be the starting line up, who is on the bench. I think Sa and Vydra should start up front.

Re: QPR: Back from the Match / Pub / TV

I agree with the fact that we are tiring after around 60mins, taking off a striker and bringing on guthire would make us more solid, the other two tackling and him for ball retention and passes. I don' think it would invite anymore pressure in this formation than we already get at that stage of the ...

Re: How Long Will BM Last at this rate?????

A bit of thoguht about possession football is needed, i think we are capable of doing it. There's a great idea! Let's hire Brendan Rodgers. excellent :-) but my point stands, i am not talking mega swansea style here although that was pretty effective against us, i am talking about a bit more passin...

Re: How Long Will BM Last at this rate?????

The main thing for me is Brian needs to just adjust his tatics slightly and mix it up a bit better, the times when we have retained the ball, (fairly little at the moment) we have looked so much better. The work ethic is there you can't fault that, closing down isn't bad, the biggest thing is the ba...

Re: Back from the Game

That was an awful display from us despite ending in a 2-2 draw, i watched it on internet stream. Time and time again our defence was split through the middle, when we did win the ball we just didn't keep it, one of the worst displays from Reading i have seen in a while. Have to say we are lucky to h...

Re: The Gr8 Keeper Deb8

Feds had an injury he had a bandage on his leg, and was clearly struggling to kick the ball at times, how do you lot not notice these things  AM has come in a doing a good job, he has had to wait patiently for his turn, Feds can now do the same to win his place back, makes for good competition...
