Re: Bolton (A)

Bolton is a local line from Manchester, may be Oxford Road and Victoria rather than Picadilly.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Carlisle United (a)

Made a weekend of it. So whoever recommended the Settle-Carlisle line gets a gold star, just bliss. For all the moorland, the best bit was up in the Eden valley and snow-capped hills looming large out of the cloud. Like a fantasy film. Walk down to the ground - lovely old fashioned one. Huge support...

Re: Bristol Rovers (A) - DATE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Somewhat restricted, but no worse than Portsmouth by the looks of it. Still surprised it's so much cheaper, especially as the terrace doesn't have a roof on it IIRC. I usually go for the terrace when it's an option, but decided to get a seat for this one. We appear to have sold around 660 tickets t...

Easter Monday, big allocation, cheap tickets and I hear Bolton has a particularly vibrant Latin quarter.

Re: Bristol Rovers (A) - DATE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Any idea likely week the rearranged game could be?

Guess it can't be the 26th or the 2nd April, due to Easter, so that leaves 9th, 16th and 23rd. Bristol already have the 16th booked with a rearranged game vs Cambridge.

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

I was at the Rangers-Ross County game last Wednesday. The Rangers equivalent behind the goal were highly impressive: singing for the whole ninety minutes; almost no repetition of songs; were loud throughout the game and the events on the pitch had no impact on their support. Would be good if Club 1...

stealthpapes a win takes us to touching distance of 40 pints and we won't need too many more than that to stay up*.

Anyone who can stay up after 40 pints is doing exceptionally well

See Millwall away 2020 and Hull away 2019. :?

PV fans I've met have all been good lads, the last one bought me a pint for RFC fans contributing to that statue.

But tonight, a win takes us to touching distance of 40 pints and we won't need too many more than that to stay up*.

Telly's a fan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EmrGSqteGo Spent the Sunday having a wander around, decided to catch ferry over to Ryde and back, then a slow train home. The little stretch of raiwlay line from Harbour to & Southsea is a treasure - overlooks the historical, the great and also Dav...

ftr - ship anson, old custom house, still & west, bridge tavern, wellington (twice), sally port, dolphin, pembroke & home via one of the more life affirming kebab trips ever. Portsmouth is a great away sesh. The game - 30 minutes of liquid football, then that. Could have been 3-3. That's wh...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Fleetwood Town (a)

From the drab first half onwards, that had the tedious inevitability of an unloved injury time equaliser that does neither side any good.

Second half we did enough to maybe win, extra time we took all that back.

yeah especially as it's being done with such ineptitude. Have a word with the tedious incel that brought politics into it. No thanks. I couldn’t think of anything worse than having to talk to that loner virgin. https://fod-wp-media-library.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com/2021/10/3f54369707ed6e92801488b...

I like having that record. I like having the 13 wins record. I really liked the old Steve Death goals conceded one, still miss it, truth be told.
