Re: New manager rumours and speculation

My top 3 realistic choices in order of preference. All 3 would be suited to the role based on their success in building a team from scratch.

1. Chris Wilder
2. Richie Wellens
3. Nathan Jones

Re: Moving away fans to Upper West Corner

Wonder if this will happen next season? We'll get a clue when season tickets come out on which parts of the ground are available.

Re: 2023/24 - Important dates for your diary

Milton Keynes had the highest number of travelling fans in League One this season - with Derby, Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday taking over 6,500 there. They averaged ~1,900 away fans at their ground. But you're not taking ground capacity into account here. MKD had the most fans visit them because ...

Re: 2023/24 - Important dates for your diary

Yeah I'd suspect there would be a few clubs who would take a good following to us. I'm not sure I could see an average of over 1000 going to away games next season if we are to be sitting in mid table in League One. At the moment, I can see 8 teams (Wycombe, Oxford, Cheltenham, Bristol Rovers, Nort...

Re: 2023/24 - Important dates for your diary

Not sure many teams will take a small following (under 500) since the smallest clubs in that league haven't played us for donkeys years and we're a new ground to a lot of clubs' fans in league one. Only club that probably will take less than that is Burton Albion

Re: 2023/24 - Important dates for your diary

We have to play away on the 26th August due to Reading festival. Thus I think we'll be at home first up. If so, I'm hoping it's against someone like Cheltenham, Port Vale or Exeter so we have every chance of starting off with a win. 5th August: Reading v TBC 8th August: EFL cup 12th August: TBC v Re...

Re: Season Tickets 23/24

Why doesn't the club do the following:

Freeze season ticket prices but offer season ticket holders say 50% off any cup games. Reward those who go to games every week.

Re: As The Dust Settles - The Sombre Thread

Throwing money at a problem in a short term panic is what got us into this mess. Its the last thing we should do. Agreed - spending money in a sensible way is fine but chucking it around got us into the mess, we aren't going to get out of it by repeating the same error. I have no problem paying a f...

Mid Sussex Royal I'd rather have Ian Royal than Paul lambert

Ian is a very capable manager. Who are you to doubt him?

Ian would ban the players from letting us get promoted for 3 years

Re: As The Dust Settles - The Sombre Thread

I don’t think dai will just give up. The continuing silence speaks volumes about the man.......... I worry how much the players will pick up on this potentially and affect their game/motivation. Even if he doesn't speak directly but Dayong Pang communicates on his behalf it would just be nice to he...

Re: New manager rumours and speculation

Wilder would be an outstanding appointment. Bowen needs to try sell the club to him ASAP and as long as we're not struggling in league one give him 2-3 years to get us promoted. We won't get anyone better than him really. Wellens may be a brilliant manager for us but it's a riskier option. I think t...

Re: As The Dust Settles - The Sombre Thread

Without playing the big club mentality whether we get promoted next season is solely down to the owner. If he buys into the structure we have in the club and is willing to bankroll 5 million next season so we can have the wages to get us back up then we have every chance, especially with Ince and Ca...

Re: The squad in July

So now we await the confirmation on who is going to be offered a new contract and who the club will release. Obviously expecting Joao and (sadly) Meitie to leave but if there is a surprise it may be in the club offering a deal to Southwood. We might trigger his deal although I'd still potentially e...

Re: The squad in July

Not the first time I've heard this. Seen him a few times for the ressies, and now today, I'm far from convinced. I have no idea why we signed a Sutton keeper, much less give him a long contract. The no1 shirt is one of my biggest concerns for next season. Bouzanis looks a solid if not unspectacular...

CBC has a bright future but after today he really needs a loan out. Unless we play him in the EFL and Papa Johns trophies Not the first time I've heard this.
