Re: MATCHWATCH : Eastleigh (a)

Some of the RFC squad (Carson, Mbengue, Elliot and Ehibhatiomhan) fell well short of their potential against Eastleigh doing themselves no favours of being selected in the 11 that takes to the pitch in League One going forward. Vickers was on the bench and not bought on. I am trying to understand w...

Re: I've lost count - Embargos, HMRC Payent defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

It's fine. Eastleigh will go into the 3rd round and get a chance of an even bigger tie. And we've no beef with the FA/FA Cup. I wouldn't do it vs Charlton either as our name's on the trophy. Save it for a league match Let's get Barnsley abandoned Protests that don't risk fines and/or points deducti...

Re: Cheltenham (A)

5 miles away from where I live, so no excuse for me not to attend. I've been living over here for 4 months now and I've still not seen a single person wearing a Cheltenham shirt, scarf or anything else in club colours.

Re: Injury watch 2023/24

Brogue I’ve been told Ballard is out for the season btw acl

Sadly this is true, Heard this on Sunday, from people who know his family.

Hopefully he makes a full recovery and it doesn't get stop his development, as he clearly has a lot of talent and potential.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

I can't believe the EFL will pass any director related to our takeover who isn't speaky clean. They can't run the risk of getting it wrong again.

Their reutation is on the line here.

Re: FA Youth cup 2023/24

Royals and Racers 454 at SCL tonight.

Trying this formation out with the U18's? Would we get away with it in the league? Might make us tougher defensively.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (a)

Train to Marlow and cab from there was always the best way when I went to the odd Wasps games there. I am pretty sure I caught the 800 bus the last time I went from Marlow to Wycombe. It cost a couple of quid and took about 15 minutes. Pretty sure the bus is more like 45 mins Its 90 minutes, goes v...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (a)

Jagermesiter1871 What's the best way of getting to Wycombe other than driving? 2 hours+ on the train is mental.

I believe there is a bus from Rerading to Wycombe, but it takes an age to get there.

Despite Reading and Wycombe being fairly close, public transport links are poor. Driving is the best option.

Mid Sussex Royal Tax due today.

If its late again we're likely looking at a points deduction.

I didn't think there was any precedent for a points deduction related to this offence. It's just a transfer embargo historically.

Unless they want to make an example of us again.

Should just take it and move on I think. The bottom of the Prem is so far adrift quality wise they’ll easily get back to safety I expect Agreed. The interesting* thing will be if Leeds, Leicester and Burnley follow through on their written threat to sue now that they have been found guilty as they ...

Re: BFTG - Bristol Rovers

One incident summed up the football intelligence of that team last night. Bristol Roversd were attacking down there right. I can't remember why, but Yiadom was over that side of the pitch helping out leaving the Rovers left winger all on his own on the left corner of the penalty area. Luckily they d...

Brogue
blythspartan Listening to this interview on BBCRB has made me feel even more convinced that Selles needs to go.

yeah the 'i don't know any other way to play' quote is kinda fcuking worrying

I haven't heard the interview....did he actually say that? If so, that is astonishing.....

Re: BFTG Fleetwood shambles

South Coast Royal People have been very dismissive of Fleetwood but I thought they played some decent pass and move football before tiring in the second half.

Most Sunday league teams could pass around statues.

I won't be there tonight. Got the dreaded man flu (can I still say that? ANMd I don't fancy a 140 mile round trip espcially when the road this end is clsed at the Air Ballon, Birdlip resulting in a detour through Cheltenham.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Charlton Athletic (a)

I think in League 1 "good old fashioned" can and does work. We have conceded so many goals to teams who get the ball out wide and then get it into the box. Our full backs are quite often no where to be seen, either still up on the halfway line or playing too centrally. We are so open to co...

Re: TAKEOVER CONFIMRED

RedBird were looking to invest in Liverpool earlier this year so must be really desperate to want to add a football club to their portfolio. They already own AC Milan and Toulouse, so they must want to get a foothold in UK football as well. I believe they also hold a 10% stake in Fenway Sports Grou...

Re: TAKEOVER CONFIMRED

I spoke with someone earlier this week who has had business dealings with Storey, and the only thing he did say was that he has no money. This won't happen and should become apparent quite quickly when the due dilligience is done, unless he is just fronting a consortium. But I just can't imagine the...

Re: another, another, yes another - you heard me right, another embargo 2023 for late PAYE payments

Dai is awful and needs to go. But just for some perspective (without starting another thread) can someone provide devils advocacy for Dai? If he’s put in £200m isn’t that quite a lot? Do we have a lot to thank him for even if ultimately he just isn’t as stable or reliable as we need? He gambled big...
