Re: ArsenaLOL

What are you laughing at? The defeat or Chelsea paying £18m for Giroud?

Re: Rumour - Tommy Elphick

Norfolk Royal
Victor Meldrew
Norfolk Royal I think the signing of Elphick will be a Boon for us.

You have to be of a certain age to appreciate that one.

Indeed, I'm just glad there is someone of a certain age who does appreciate it. I'm wasted on here.

I was old enough to appreciate it on Page 1.

Re: The road from here....

18 million wage bill Where did you get that figure from ? Thought the last available accounts had us with a 30 million wage bill ? £18m or £30m, I suppose with relegation it's the difference between being fcuked and being well and truly fcuked. I'm not even one of these fans who seem the Premiershi...

Re: The road from here....

I've see us play in all 4 divisions and yes, I've seen much worse teams and more inept performances but I do worry about the repercussions of relegation. This is a very different club to the one I supported in the 80's and 90's. We've got an £18m wage bill and I don't think we'd be in a great positi...

The Chinese owners haven't shown any inclination to asset strip their other clubs.

Re: ArsenaLOL

I kind of agree with Brobot. We were a statistical anomaly on this analysis last year but that doesn't necessarily mean the analysis is wrong, there's just a margin for error. However, I also believe that the expected goals analysis is statistics for statistics sake and flirts the fine line between ...

Re: Low away attendances

Lowest home crowd for a FRT game was 1151 v Northampton in 91/92. We played in the football league trophy v Bournemouth, in front of 1136, in a group stage before the season started. In 85/86 we played Orient in the FRT in front of 1403 Bizarrely, I may be mistaking it with a "showcase" p...

I remember us playing Orient in the Freight Rover Trophy at Elm Park back in the 80's. Re: Record Watch 2017/18

I nearly ended up in Wolverhampton yesterday when the satnav decided to divert me to avoid the clusterfuck that is the M5/M6 interchange.

Fortunately, I took a right turn at Bilston and got back on the M6 without hearing the sound of dueling banjos.

Re: Low away attendances

Burnley away 2007/08 season on a Tuesday night. Around 200 sitting on the cold wooden seats in the freezing cold. I was there. We was robbed by Robbie Blake that night. Think 205 was the official figure but I certainly wasn't sitting. Jensen had the game of his life in goal for Burnley that night. ...

I like what Stan is trying to do, he's just not doing it very well. Something needs to change and unfortunately the only viable option is the manager.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (h) sponsored by still no Saturday home win this season

We really have got some "special" fans. Nothing wrong with getting angry, nothing wrong with calling for change. I've got angry, I've called for change, I've invaded the pitch, I've joined in demonstrations outside the club, I've even thrown my season ticket in the chairman's face but I ha...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

It's not even the fact he's a lying, cheating, obnoxious propagator of any football who publicly demeans his own players for his own gratification that gets my goat, it's the way he strolls about thinking he's bigger than the club, only to disappear off after 30 months, tail between his legs because...
