Re: Who could replace Stam?

Perservering with the style is the way forward. Going to take time to build the squad to achieve it though. Much depends on bringing youngsters up through the ranks playing the Reading way. Not just academy, but players from lower leagues with potential.

Re: Rival Watch

Garry Monk sacked Didn't they win today? Totally mad. Do the owners of football clubs care about the fans? Or is promotion to pocket a big cheque their only aim. No manager is going to help build a successful club in 6 months. Football is going the way of F1. Uncompetetive unless you've got the big...

Re: BFT £&*@!! - Burton

You can't field a playmaker like Kelly and ask him to cover at right back and stand between the centrebacks and watch them push forward. I'm struggling to remember the last decent performance from Kelly. Stam has played him in a variety of positions recently. Sadly there's no one else available. As...

John Madejski's Wallet
Huh, and here's me thinking a manager is supposed to get a team playing

Team picks itself more or less on who is fit currently. Squad lacks real depth.

Re: BFT £&*@!! - Burton

Schmeichel the dog Liam Moore's reaction at the end was interesting. Looks like he could be off and who could blame him after that shambles.

Hasn't been faultless this season. The fact he stands out. Tells you much about some of the others.

Too many inconsistent light weight performers in this squad.

Re: In or Out?

Absolutely mental how people are piping straight back up on social media with 'Stam Out' and 'time for a change' when we lost only our 2nd match in 9 games... I really do wonder sometimes. Likewise Radio Berkshire is doing my head in. Adie Williams never goes to away games and follows the same old ...

Re: In or Out?

at best, this season he's been inconsistent with decent sqaud. The players themselves need to perform consistantly. A decent squad sums up most of the Championship. You have a point, maybe it’s just an experienced manager we need. Would you swap our team with Ipswich and do you think Ipswich fans w...

Instant success only. No patience. Watching a club like Reading will always be disappointed.

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

Finally a settled team. Far from being the best, with weak links and players out of position. Yet still good enough to give Cardiff a real game. The "project" continues. Seems a long way from Stam losing his job and a poor run of performances just a few weeks back. Last night showed how la...

Re: BFTG Sunderland

John Smith What a win. Could see it coming though. Anyone thinking Coleman was going to turn around that crock of shit straight away must be dreaming - they've got huge issues. Bring on Cardiff

With 11 vs 11 could have been a very different second half.

Re: BFTG Sunderland

Fair assessment. I think Clement could be an option to start instead of Kelly at the moment while Swift is injured. Only on subs bench. As there's no other option available. Still needs time to settle in and develop. Yesterday came on and immediately gave away a needless freekick. In general lacked...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sunderland (a) sponsored by Charlie Hurley

For those of you like Snowflake who are not tuned into the signs of the basic human ego, until recently the whole show has been about Stam FC and it’s not worked out too well so far. Stam being a half smart human being and after so many games this season, he finally realised that it’s not all about...

Re: BFTG Sunderland

Starting line up being unchanged for the 3rd consecutive game, was a major positive. Sunderland are without doubt a poor team. Shame the afternooon was marred by yet another defensive howler. Even when 3-0 nil up , The tempo needs to be maintained. Passing the ball on the half way line simply brough...
