Re: Non - League thread 2010/11

And what's more, Bangor got through. Where's the match report? Sorry for the delay but I've chenged jobs and now have no access to internet during the day. The events of last night were a big deal in this part of North Wales! Honka are a full time side who are half way through their domestic season...

Re: Non - League thread 2010/11

Got my Europa League ticket today for tomorrow night's Bangor City v Honka Espoo match.

Bangor drew 1-1 in Finland so set up nicely for the home leg (to be played at the Racecourse).

TNS went through last night to play Anderlecht in the 3rd qualifying round.

Re: Barnet FC

Same here, not been since 93/94 season including the postponed match. I vaguely remember drinking in central London and having to bail out of the Northern Line before reaching Barnet otherwise my bladder was going to explode! If it is just down the road from you why don't you know every pub within a...

If HMRC do appeal with a hearing in October/November time, does that mean that in addition to the transfer embargo remaining in place that they also start the season

Re: how painful will it be if 'arrys boys......

Nothing like pre-season time for wild, blind optimism!! How about the Shots? FA Cup Semi Final place and win the 4th Division by 20 clear points? let us hope division two brings reward to your club chairman in the coming season... Ha! Mr Mad's reward will be one borne from restrained cloth cutting ...

Re: Next Seasons Kit

Why are they sitting with their legs wide apart like that? :? Probably just had a certain operation for daddies who don't want to be new daddies again. I think our new kit looks better than the Lazio ones however looking at the Partick Thistle yellow and red version of our kit it looks as though th...

Re: Next Seasons Kit

I think its alright, could have been worse with one of Puma's current stupid neck designs or the Ivory Coast patchwork shoulder in a slightly different colour. At least it looks like an original design and not a template of someone else's shirt replicated across 20 clubs over Europe and if the pictu...

Re: The new season

splashing the cash with the signing of Kris Boyd free transfer, wages could be true tho, was offere £50k/week to go to Turkey but plumped for Boro :| He won't come cheap as he turned down Brum last year who were widely reported to be offering him £30k plus a week. Not many clubs at this level could...

Re: The new season

I think Boro will be hoping to be up there and are splashing the cash with the signing of Kris Boyd. They know they have to get back this season or it could be a long wait and have decided to gamble heavily in doing so. If they don't succeed it could all end in tears!! Will be interested to see quit...

Re: Arrest Ray Ilsley

Remember once in the Jazz before a game, early 06, Manchester derby was on, City went 2-0 up and I actually said "yes!". Johnson turned around and had a go at me for celebrating another team's goal. I'd seen him plenty of times before but that one moment he struck me as actually more of a...

Re: Arrest Ray Ilsley

I don't suppose it matters as enough water has gone under the bridge and I hardly thought it was widely known!! Basically I'd been watching the game with Mr Johnson on the South Bank and after we had thrown away the 3-o lead Chris basically went into a deep sulk. At the time there was a small group ...

Re: Arrest Ray Ilsley

There's only one Chris Johnson Not condoning violent behaviour but he is responsible for THE best comedy moment in the Rendezvous. After the Port Vale, 3-0 up - drew 3-3 game, at Easter of the 93/94 season, remember it as if it was yesterday. The memory sadly might reduce Ray to a different sort of...

Re: Arrest Ray Ilsley

floyd__streete Isn't Chris Johnson a Liverpool fan anyway?

Second team. He even took it to ridiculous levels in the late 80s when he had a season ticket on the Kop and went to Reading home games and Liverpool home games alternate weeks. Saw some good football at that time (at least once a fortnight anyway).
