Re: Season tickets 2013/14

£425 for Championship tickets is toooooo much-£325 to £350 for renewals is about right-if they come in at around that level and bring in Poyet (or better)-I will renew. You're not going to see a massive cut in ticket prices like that. My season ticket was £395 for this season, and when I purchased ...

Re: Next Reading Manager

I have mixed feelings on this. Both Poyet and Adkins are respected for their pleasing on the eye football, but one was going to cost us £2m in compensation, and the other is out of work and has a far more impressive CV. If given the choice, and considering we will almost certainly be in the Champion...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

They must be in quite a desperate state. They're only three points off of the play-offs, but a ten point deduction will end their season early. They have also been looking at local stadiums they can move to to save costs. They can't afford the rent at the Ricoh. Very sad state of affairs. As always,...

Re: Poll -next manager

Nigel Adkins would be my favoured choice. A good young manager. More than proven in the Football League, and he plays a brand of football that would be a lot more pleasing on the eye.

Re: Thank you Brian!

Desperately disappointed for Brian this evening. He's a genuine nice guy, and this will no doubt hurt him! Sadly though I think it was the right time. A slow start next season, and the loss of a very important pre-season, and he would have gone anyway, and it could be even more costly for the club t...

Re: Jason Roberts

Unfortunately it sounds like Jason Roberts could be forced into retirement. He may require a hip replacement. I can't recall any player recovering back from that (?), let alone at 34/35. A great shame if that is the case. Promotion last season wouldn't have happened without him, and he would have be...

Re: Jason Roberts

Not at all gutted about this. A McD says, "We move on" He would still be useful next season in the Championship, so I disagree wholeheartedly. He is worth one more year, especially when you consider Pogrebnyak will be itching to get away this summer, and Noel Hunt is also out of contract,...

Re: Man utd match thread sponsored by Fergies rolex

Solid performance, but I'm glad there's no replay. Tonight really wasn't needed. We looked absolutely knackered for that last 25 minutes, and Saturday against Wigan is what matters most! "Why didn't we bring Pog on?" Why risk such an important player when it's the league that matters most?...

Re: Back from the miracle

That felt like the worst 80 minutes we have played this season, but I've said that now on a few occasions. Is 4-5-1 really going to keep us up? Yes we've tightened up at the back, although we're still conceding too many goals, however offensively we are struggling with it. Continuously lumping it fo...

Re: Who's getting paid what?

As far as I'm aware he got £20m now and £20m when it all goes through. TSI will still inherit the loans from Madejski, so he'll also get another £25m in due course, though I can't imagine he'll be taking it back anytime soon and wouldn't be surprised to see him just convert it to equity as Dave Whe...

Re: TSI - The Promises, Policies & Progress Thread

I was surprised to learn yesterday that Reading are currently the Premier League's biggest spenders on both travel and hotel expenditure. Even for the London games we foot the bill for a nights stay in a hotel. Arsenal for example travelled on the morning of the game here at the Madejski Stadium. It...

Re: January Window

Cheryshev looks increasingly unlikely as he has 'reportedly' just turned down two offers to return to Russia with Zenit and another. He has apparently said he wants to see out the season at Real Madrid and hopes to break into the first team next season. But you never know. Guaranteed first-team foot...

The Daily Mail are trying to arrange another interview with Anton Zingarevich. Should be interesting, as I would expect the January transfer window to raise/answer a few questions.

Re: How Long Will BM Last at this rate?????

I don't think Brian has long left now. The dressing is split, to put it mildly. He has one player who has openly mocked him for being tactically inept, and a 'favourite' proving to be quite the trouble maker, which would come as a surprise to many. Another player who Brian would want to rely on to s...
