Re: Play Off Home Leg

I'm one such student unfortunately. At uni in Bristol so it would be a late one to go and get the train back, and I have an exam the following morning. Looks like it'll be the sports bar big screen for me... If we got to Wembley, that would be the day after my last exam which would be a rather nice ...

Re: Team for Fulham (h)

If Obita is fit, we should stick with 3 at the back + wingbacks I think - Ilori in for McShane. If he's not, we'd have to push Blackett out to LB and bring VDB in as the third centre back (or Evans) - but I think that's a little bit of a risk for such a huge game. Bringing in Watson is another optio...

Re: BFTG Fulham

It's beautifully set up for Tuesday night now. No team have the advantage . Fulham are rightly considered the favourites. The Fulham Football Club is an outstanding club and are expected to win otherwise they will have badly let down the residents of West London. Considering they are one of the big...

Re: YTF is everyone scared of Fulham FC??

I think the stat about our win percentage when we take the lead is pretty staggering to be honest. Off the top of my head, is it Brighton at home and Derby away the only games we didn't win after leading? That's incredibly good. I think its also true a massive area for improvement next year is how ...

Re: Play off Away Leg

If there are any ST holders who will not be attending the away leg, who would be willing to let me buy a ticket, that would be amazing. At uni currently so my first year without a ST, so doubt my points will be enough. PM me if so, cheers!

Longshot but if anyone is going from Bristol or via Bristol and has room to give me a lift, that would be hugely appreciated.

Will contribute to petrol/beer of course.

Re: We Need a Striker!!

It's all well and good saying we can rely on Kermogant, but he's 35 - we'll have to sign a backup/replacement sooner or later (probably in the summer) - so why not get one now who can help with the promotion push off the bench and learn Stam's style of play whilst still second fiddle to Yann?

3-1, Ibrahimovic to notch a couple, Williams to pull one back, Mata to make the game safe.

Re: Goal-scorer watch

Rakels and VDB will surely bag at least one each before the end of the season. Time to get Obita and Blackett taking penalties - can't be any worse at them than anyone else!

Re: BFTG - Bristol City (A)

Superb day out. We shot ourselves in the foot giving away two extremely cheap goals, however Bristol then shot themselves in the foot even more by parking the bus from the 46th minute, after which they had 11 men behind the ball at all times. This limited our creativity as it was very difficult to p...

Re: BFTG Birmingham

In just a handful of games and one low-budget transfer window Stam seems to have largely sorted out the defensive issues (bar set pieces) and has got the possession side of the game nailed. Now, he just needs to sort out the attacking side, which I'm sure he'll manage over time. Can't agree re: Will...

2-2.

Defensive errors cost us, but we score from a set piece and then a late equaliser from Swift.

Re: Team for Birmingham

Can't understand the Williams hate, he's been excellent under Stam and we really need him to drive us forward with the ball at his feet when we're struggling to pass through the thirds. The 'runs down blind alleys' cliche is complete rubbish too, most of his forward runs end with a pass out to the w...

Re: BFTG - Ipswich home

Main issue for me tonight was that they man-marked our central midfield out of the game in the first half, and pressed us high up the pitch in the second, and we had no real answer to either. Still, probably just edged it overall (although they missed one absolute sitter) and both of our penalties w...

Re: SERIOUSLY STOP BOOING

I don't agree with the booing but there are certainly flaws with the way we pass out from the back, when Ipswich started pressing us high up the pitch we needed the midfield to drop back and provide an outlet for the defence, hopefully it will come in time as when this style of play is working it l...

Re: Back from the game: MK Dons

Harriott is decent. Even as the final whistle blew after extra time he was carrying the ball forward, looking to be positive. A comment suggesting he lacks a footballing brain is harsh. He works incredibly hard, and is always looking to make something happen which is more than can be said for most....
