Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

NewCo is a completely new club, as they've been keen to stress, so they are not liable for any old punishments or any old debt. They were not "kicked out" of the SPL. The new club's application to rejoin the SPL directly was rejected. The new Rangers re being treated just as any completel...

The Rouge Very similar players - the only difference being that Church lacks the pace, strength and heading ability of Long.

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

tbf, this bloke has a point "Interesting word, integrity. Hearts £30m debt, HMRC winding up orders and failure to pay players. Motherwell in admin receive NO punishment and avoid relegation despite finishing bottom in 2003. Dundee allowed back in SPL despite double admin record. Pacific shelf ...

Re: Reading game you would like to watch again

Reading -v- Arsenal at Highbury, in the mid 60's. We lost the game, but it was magic to be there, and see RFC playing such a dominant team, as Arsenal were in those days. I know there are other Hob Nobbers who were there that night. Colin Meldrum fired a shot at Goal from his own half, and hit the ...

Anyone else find this a big waste of our taxes? How much is this court case costing with all the policing etc. £100K+? for what? a max £2.5k fine  And what was unfactual about what ferdinand was called, F - I take it he's not a virgin, B - He would call himself black, C - Without checking ...

Re: SPECULATION - Nicky Shorey

He got an England cap. I'm hardly being Mr Controversial, here. I'd put him top 10 so it's not too bad a shout IMO. In no particular order: Sigurdsson Kitson Friday Sidwell Wdowcyzk Hislop Shorey Little Roberts And still room for someone quality who I've inevitably briefly forgotten. Death? That's ...

Re: RUMOUR: Jordan Rhodes

Only way I can see Rhodes leaving is if he forces the move and makes it clear he wants out, but seeing as he comes across as a very rational and level-headed young man I just can't see that. Current weekly wage at Huddersfield (obviously a guess) - less than £10k per week Premier League club transf...

Re: RUMOUR: Jordan Rhodes

I wouldn't be surprised if Huddersfield were playing the long game to maintain the price tag.

I also wouldn't be surprised to see Rhodes move before the end of the window.

Re: Jamie Mackie

We're not likely to get involved in a bidding war. The club's shown it's not willing to pay over the odds for a player. WTF? Recently? With the Pog signing the club has shown that it certainly is prepared to get into a bidding war, and to commit to what it needs to spend to win that war. Ye...

Re: Rumour - Sone Aluko

Yet more evidence the SPL is League One quality. The defending was indeed atrocious. Imagine Kebe up against those defenders... He'd do three laps of the pitch before nutmegging the keeper just for the lols. He'd have time to get a clean pair of socks, de-boot, de-sock, re-sock and re-boot before a...
