Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a)

The way we are treating Mcintyre is a disgrace. How has he not started over Mola. How has NGW, Carson, Mbengue, Yiadom and your gran not started over Mola. Because (gran aside) they've all been rinsed on a regular basis as well. Add Rahman to that list and it's a position we havent resolved in ages.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a)

Reckon we might be heading for another record. 9-0 win directly followed by a 9-0 defeat.

Still nothing here.

We're back to "Currently Not Broadcasting"

Think the 9 goals in midweek has broken everything.

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Craig and Rushesha off after 65m Interesting sub Might be on the bench for tomorrow? However, i would have thought the first team will probably already be on their way up there already? I think they both played the full 90 minutes in midfield on Tuesday so not surprising that they don’t do another ...

Re: England - the future....

Re Southgate's supposed 'safety first' approach, it is noteworthy that he has the second highest win percentage of any England manager except Fabio Capello. And at 2.2 goals per game, we score more than under any England manager except Walter Winterbottom, who left the role in 1963. And excluding M...

Re: BFTG - Cheltenham

I have a suspicion (based on very little as per ) that to some degree Selles’ team selections have been preselected . Our preseason was so shambolic that he really didn’t have enough time to assess how players could work in the system he wants to play . As a result these opening games and selections...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (a)

First half was ok. Got behind them a few times but final ball was woeful.

2nd half is woeful , not helped by a baffling substitution.

Re: Summer 2023 Transfer Speculation

Would suggest the style Selles wants us to play will require a big squad. Definitely be expecting injuries whilst they get used to it (on top of our usual injury issues) Yeah that would be a concern for me too , especially given the lack of a proper pre-season to lay the necessary groundwork for so...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (a)

Well Camara, Kelvin, Craig, Abbey and Azeez were all involved in the Championship last season. Nowhere near enough of course. This. Ince really was working far to closely to that old Alan Hansen "mantra" last season. Sadly it wasn’t just Ince. Most disappointing non selection of the year ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (a)

It's just going to take a few weeks before everyone gets to the level required and it will suit certain individual players more than others. Assuming they don’t get injured first. I mean hopefully after tonight this season's manager will be more prepared to utilise the whole squad at his disposal r...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (a)

Just seen the highlights, loving the press, where the oxf*rd was that on Saturday? It was definitely there in the first 30 minutes on Saturday and sporadically after that. The issue was that our pre-season has been so shambolic that a lot of the players that making up the starting 11 on Saturday ha...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (a)

It's simultaneously piss poor and quite funny. And better than Dellor. Tim is better then yes man Mick. Time for a more recent ex player to take up co coms Tim is an abomination. Mick is just past his sell by date Yup. Dellor must have said "it's a marathon not a sprint" about half a doze...

Re: Tivonge Rushesha confimred

Quite liked what I saw of him in the Swansea game. Seemed to get stronger as the game went on , unlike the rest of the team. He played virtually the whole 90 minutes too unlike most of the players we might consider to be on the starting line up Saturday so reckon he might well start. In general I li...

Re: Sam Smith confimred

Haven't seen much of Smith since he left but what I liked about him in his limited playing time here was his willingness to run in behind and play on the shoulder of the last defender. Of course this was during Stam's second season so he never actually saw the ball but I always thought there was a d...

The interesting thing for me is that the statement says he will be tasked with recruitment of players which I suspect would be a break from most of our recent Managers/Head Coaches.

Re: U21’s to First Team

I think Vision's point is that by playing them we confirmed Bristow wasn’t up to it and shipped him out. Nothing to do with being rated. Although it's a generous interpretation because we only played Bristow because we didn’t have any alternatives until we signed Rahman. As we've seen this season, ...

Re: U21’s to First Team

Yep and thanks to Ince we know nothing more about him now than we did at the start of the season. Say what you like about Gomes and Pauno ( God knows there’s plenty negative to say ) but we’d have known by now if we had a Richards or a Bristow on our hands. Bristow? Was he really rated? He made hal...
