Re: RFC Promotion Party COUNTDOWN... 2010/2011

Hope this is the place to post when promotion rivals are playing?

Watford currently 2-up at Ipswich and Burnley drawing 2-2 at home to Coventry. Would have taken that before the games started...

Re: QPR points deduction?

As someone posted on a QPR forum, the only happy party could be Cardiff who still have considerable financial problems:

QPR survive points deduction and go up as champions, Cardiff sue QPR in a similar way that Sheffield Utd sued West Ham, QPR settle for £30-50m out of court!

Re: Team for Millwall (H)

I have to admit that if I was manager of Reading I would't be giving up on a play off spot just yet - it gives off the wrong message. However, I would be so tempted to play a few fringe players to get them ready for a real go at next season... --------------------------HUNT-----------MANSET---------...

Chairman Backing

 Ok, so Doyle, Hunt, Bikey, Kitson, Shorey, Sigurdsson, Sonko etc etc have been sold and not properly replaced. :) However, we are on a sound financial footing and young Reading born players are getting experience in a mid table championship team. :| Bear in mind that Rodgers was sacked after o...

Snowball Who is Ledge?

The gentleman from QPR is ineligible
and anyway his name is ELWOOD

Jay Tabb
“I had big shoes to fill with Ledge being ineligible. I think he's been one of our players of the season since he came in, so it was always going to be tough.

Re: American Trialist

Ethan Gage entered Empire Field in street clothes Wednesday and looked like a guy who'd be OK with Plan B. The 19-year-old midfielder-defender has just returned from a three-week trial with English Championship side Reading. He's long been itching to get to Europe, but said if things don't work out ...

Re: RUMOUR - Mills?

Been fantastic over the last few games. For me he is the defenders version of a confidence striker; when he's on form he's great, but because he likes to get in front of his man, pick out long passes etc - he needs to be 'on form' to be any good. He is not yet ready for the premiership in my opinion...

Re: DONE DEAL - Mathieu Manset

Firstly, we need to give him time to adjust and fortunately we have 2 decent championship strikers in Long and Hunt to be going on with. Church, Williams and Manset - along with potentially Robson-Kanu, Bell-Baggie and even Jacob Walcott could make it up front in time. However, I couldn't help notic...

Re: Back from the Game - Hull (H)

Royalee Mills - 5...always the wrong side of his man and gives the ball away with his hoofs

He was almost faultless today. In the past I felt he was a liability, but McDermott's faith in him has paid dividends and I am astonished anyone could think he was anything other than excellent today...

Federci - 7 Maybe could have communicated better with Harte? Harte - 5 Messed up for the goal but passed and defended (otherwise) well Griffin - 7 Solid if not spectacular Mills 9 - Faultless, dominating performance Pearce - 8 Strong in the air, played well L'wood - 7 Defensively 10/10, passing 3/10...

Re: Premier League Bosman List

Now or in the summer, I think we need 3 positions: A quality striker (were we to lose Long to injury), a left back for now and the future (ours are too slow or not quite good enough, even though we have quite a few!) and also to properly replace Gylfi Sigurdsson with a new playmaker (on the grounds ...

Re: Sean Morrison

By the sounds of things, we should sign him and send him straight back to Swindon. I can't see him dislodging MIlls, Pearce, Khiz or Ingi, and Div 1 football is FAR better than playing for the Reading Reserves. What I like about signing players like Morrison and Williams is that we look to be taking...
