Re: BFTG Birmingham

Thought McShane was going to have his hands full after the Brum striker (Che) absolutely skinned him in the opening minutes. But we completely nullified their attack this evening. We do look much harder to beat this season; we kill the opponents momentum by taking back and keeping possession; which ...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Just asking ...... 8 games or 4 years, whatever. Should it really take any amount of time for three internationals on £10k+ a week to have to actually develop an ability (AKA the system) to pass a ball in a triangle and not fvck it up? Have you ever watched Barcelona, Real Madrid, Man City, Germany...

Re: BFTG - Ipswich home

The players currently starting are the senior players. The higher earners, too.

Maybe it's got something to do with getting these first team pros familiar with the system first?

Then introducing the youngsters as the season progresses. We're 6 games in. :|

Re: BFTG - Ipswich home

Stam did give a funny answer in the press conference ahead of the game couple days ago, was asked about Gyan but said we'd work with the '2 good strikers we've got' in Yann and Joseph. Not sure what that means for Dom, I can't help feel there's something up with him that we all don't know about. Wh...

Re: Birmingham (H) Prediction Thread

tidus_mi2
royalp-we Brum won at Fulham today - they had 35% possession but had 25 shots in the game

Sets it up well for Tuesday evening - I'm calling a 1-2 loss

25 shot, 8 on target.

Also Fulham were down to 10 men for the entire of the 2nd half.

strange prediction :|

Re: BFTG - Ipswich home

Delighted with the result. Happy to have a manager prepared to talk about his philosophy, with realistic expectations and an acceptance that it is a long-term learning curve for the players. But really that was pretty awful to watch last night. Static and stagnant with fcuk all to get the pulse rac...

Re: SERIOUSLY STOP BOOING

Stams post match interview - well worth a watch. Basically It's down to the players to implement the system and keep the possession and create the gaps when they are able to. He's absolutely right and they are professionals - he can't kick every ball for them. The fans may not like it; but like it o...

Re: BFTG - Ipswich home

Very happy to grind out another result - as we well know, it's how you do well in this division. I'm one of the patient party; and I don't mind performances like today. Keeping possession and getting the goal before half time, at the break I felt we were dominant in the first half. Lo and behold a g...

Re: Williams to Wolves

Furthermore, there are some animals in this league who would chew Kelly up. He needs time. We've got to let the younger heads develop, that goes for Swift and Evans too!

Re: Williams to Wolves

Looks like I'm alone in not liking this at all. All well and good saying '£3m brilliant striker dough' But in reality may imbalance the work done this summer. He's a character in the team. We don't have as much cover as some seem to be suggesting. We're building a squad to challenge next season. We...

Re: Gyan - Yes or No?

On the face of it, seems like a low risk gamble as Shanghai are paying his wages. It's one loan player. Gyan has performed on the international stage consistently for years. Scored goals at world cups. The club have tried the young unknown attacking signings in Meite & Mendes. The fans still wan...

I'd love for us to make more "mistakes" like Roberts. :| All of those signings brought more to this club than you obviously realise. Plus Gyan is 30 ffs Fcuk it, why not add Kermie, Khiz, Griffin, Bridge & Salako to your list too  Ian Harte, Kaspars Gorkes, Andy Griffin, Ray Houg...

Re: Rumour - Asamoah Gyan

Ferdinand/Yakubu/Roberts/Goater/Keown/Rasiak Will we ever learn? Over the hill is over the hill. Doesn't matter who they are. We've always had more success getting them on the way up, rather than on the way down. I'd love for us to make more "mistakes" like Roberts. :| All of those signin...
