Toney on target again for Brentford, 6 goals now this season.

They have a top notch scouting system.

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

I always enjoy looking at other forums. We are very much under radar still at moment by most clubs. Sheffield Wednesday were complimentary in general but main focus is the regret of letting Joao go. The most bitterness is coming from Watford fans. We are dire. Look dire. Only played teams in relega...

Re: How Are We Second?

Here is another possible reason............with no fans in the grounds, the usual negativity from the stands that is brought to bear on the players when a pass goes astray, or a half chance is missed, is absent, so the players feel freer to express themselves. And because the defence has been tight...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (h) sponsored by Keith Scott

Wycombe are out of their depth and are here via a free ticket into the playoffs because of covid, games in hand are never points in the bag particularly when playing catch up late in the season. I can see the next 2 games being very similar - two very direct ex league one sides - and we will have to...

Re: Not a bad start

Interesting stat - just posting it for info as stats are history and meaningless by and large but over the last 15 seasons 65% sides in top 2 after 4 games finished in the top 6 at the end of the season.

Re: Football - The Covid Years

Very easy to react badly against these ideas. And there are 2 terrible aspects; the new voting structure that gives control to the big 6 and changing the promotion/play-off process. But it involves a proper rescue package and sustainable funding post-Covid. I'd hope people can engage in discussions...

Re: Rival Watch

What do the Brighton fans say about him now? I know at one time they loved him to bits but I got the impression that they went off him as the football got more and more defensive. That's right - there were many fans down here not convinced even when they went up ands the vast majority weren't upset...

Will be interested to see how they do now, given many (including myself) were harping about him joining us a while ago I'll be honest Genome. Houghton's football always bored the sh1t out of me. I didn't want him here. We've always needed someone younger with fresh ideas and a bit of a track record...

Re: Sone Aluko

Yeah, intelligence was nowhere on my list of reasons to hate him. Abject performance, £7.5m transfer fee, 4 year contract and substantial wages all more than covered it. It'll take more than one good performance in four years for me to want anything other than him to oxf*rd right off asap. We paid ...
