Re: Safe Standing with new owners?

For information, the safe standing campaign suggests standing areas of around 15% - 25% of total ground capacity.

Donny Tickets

A quick and temporary return from my exile to say that I have a number of tickets available for an Exec box at Doncaster if anyone's interested. These are being offered by the The Viking Supporters Co-operative, the Donny equivalent of STAR. These are described as below : For the same price as one o...

Re: Seven Crucial Questions

Whatever. Someone needs to be asking a few awkward questions to disrupt the general "everyong is wonderful, who will we buy" love in? PS - Considering the previous post came from someone whose big and original idea is trying to pass themselves off as an established and actually witty poste...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

What's that Pompey, had all your debt wiped for you bar a paltry amount (which you still haven't paid yet) and you've already managed to run out of money and build up a new £1.6m of debt to HMRC in two months? Pretty convincing evidence you should have just been wound up in the first place. Die you...

Re: Thames Sports Investment

Friday's Legacy the planning permission i believe has since expired, however it wouldn't take much to get it approved again.

It was renewed at the time of expiry, on the grounds that it's cheaper to do that than to reapply from scratch later on.

Where's the money coming from?

Am I the only one a tad concerned of the need for all this secrecy until the deal is signed, sealed and irrevocable? If everything is quite so wonderful and so good for the club and its supporters, why is the new owner so reluctant to let his/her/their identity be made public? I don't quite understa...

Ian Royal
handbags_harris FWIW, as dislikeable a player I thought he was, I thought he played f*cking well today. Again.

Bastard does seem to have the habit of turning up against us.

Perhaps the abuse he gets acts as the best possible motivation in the world ......

Re: Back from the game - Hull

He's atrocious. Obita must be failing to make the grade big time based on how bad antonio is and gets in the team. Another castle/darren campbell Could well be the same sort of seniority thing as Federici/McCarthy - oldest player gets the chances first, until they fail to make the grade. Would be a...

Re: What the papers say: Hull

No mention of the controversial nature of the winning goal, were they actually at the game? Was it controversial? Player offside doesn't play the ball. Reading players stop playing and stand and watch while a player clearly not offside runs through and scores. The only thing in any doubt is why the...

Re: Back from the game - Hull

Singularly unimpressed with Antonio. He had lots of the ball and some great possession, but didn't seem to want to attack it. I can only remember a couple of decent crosses from him, compared to over ten times where he could have crossed and didn't or crossed very poorly. He just doesn't seem to be ...

Re: Thames Sports Investment

Why would any businessman who wants to make money invest in a football team?

If it's going to be a richman's toy fair enough, but as an investment vehicle it's a dead loss, because to make it successful you have to pour money in.

Seven Crucial Questions

Back in May the below seven questions that should be asked by Sir John Madejski about any potential new buyer were posted onto thetilehurstend.co.uk Today is probably a good time to publish them again and ask if he's considered all these things. ..... So I’d ask you to bear in mind the below points ...

And his worst period of play for us was in Feb/March 2008, when we desperately needed competent defenders.

If he'd stayed on his feet more we'd more than likely have not been relegated
