It doesn't change much really, we are reliant on Dai deciding it is in his best interest to fund the club for the last 2 months of the season. If he doesn't do so, then we will get a bare minimum 2pt deduction, if not more. The Commission knew this when they handed down the verdict, hence no point ...
I just got some troubling information concerning our finances. Basically, if Dai doesn't agree to the sale very soon then we'll be getting the 2-point suspended deduction in April. Even if he does it depends on whether the new owner is willing to give us money before the sale is finalised.
SBWD have issued new statement. I sometimes think SBWD need to consider the bigger picture and why these punishments are levied. Yep. I could do an annotation of what is wrong with that SBWD statement. Most paragraphs to be honest. Para 1 - You need sporting sanctions to stop clubs from breaching f...
https://twitter.com/james_e1871/status/1762425118968430884 Reading set to be hit with fresh two-point deduction for HMRC-related issue. Staff and players now aware. Plenty believe it could have been worse. 11 games to go with nothing else hanging overhead. https://readingchronicle.co.uk/sport/241465...
It’s not a song So not a question about the Jay Z Takeover song? No, just wondering if there was any news on the takeover of Reading FC My source told me today that things are positive. There are multiple offers that meet Dai's valuation and are (on the face of it) viable. They're still going throu...
Courtney Friday reporting that Plymouth have enquired over Azeez, and decision is with Dai Yongge. Big moment. If he's serious about selling the club, selling a player who would seriously harm our chances of staying in L1 is a grave error. My understanding is that Azeez would rather stay until the ...
This won't be a surprise to anyone, but I was chatting to my (very reliable) source yesterday and he confirmed that everyone at the club, from Bowen down, is fully #sellbeforewedai. As in they are actively working against the owner and Pang. He was saying that, actually, Pang is considered to be the...
If he kept the stadium, the rent would surely be negotiated alongside the sale. Any sensible buyer would want to lock in a fair rent for 5-10 years. So whilst it's not the best outcome, it would not be the disaster some fear. This. If it gets a deal done, then continuing to pay rent (remember the c...
I was very negative about Selles' appointment - but with Dai's behaviour this season I doubt that any manager would have done much better. I do get the sense that he's developing a bond with the Reading fans. That we might actually have someone that people are willing to give a chance and not call f...
We only really have one dedicated journo now (James Earnshaw), but he doesn't seem to post stories unless he's sure about them. No doubt that he prevents him from being 'early' with scoops, but at least you know they're legitimate.
