Re: EURO 2016 PAYMENT TO RFC

True stuff, this. Not sure on the exact figures for 2016 but those quoted would sound about right going by the first instance of this in 2008 and the rise in 2012 - see THIS LINK for more detail. The compensation works out at almost £3,500 per player per day. Uefa will pay clubs £48 million at a rat...

Re: New manager odds

Just a bit of Photoshopping of Ian Royal in place of Alex McLeish, sadly. Genuinely wasn't shopped. I even got a bet on. Hmm... when I looked earlier minutes after the photo was first posted, Alex McLeish must have suddenly been inserted into the betting at the exact same price as Ian Royal as he w...

Re: Bolton (A) Match Thread sponsored by Alex Fernandez

I love vydra, but wtf isn't Piazon on pens? Am I missing something? Why would Piazon be the answer to our penalty woes? My first memory of Piazon was him missing a penalty when Chelsea beat Villa 8-0 a few years back. Did a quick Google to see if he's been a Matt Le Tissier otherwise but first hits...

Officially IN.

Been a few times so wasn't planning to this time but £5 tickets and cheap rail from Winchester currently changed my mind.

Re: Could Nick Blackman be a Premier League target this Jan?

Hey All, Nick Blackman has been in exceptional form form for us this season hasn't he as one of the leading scorers in the Championship. I'm wondering if some of those goal shy Premier League teams might be looking at him. I was on Google earlier and found an article that suggested that might be th...

Re: Squad Numbers

Anyone seen the numbers the cricketers get given ? Broad is 638 and Root is 655 and they hardly seem to be suffering a numerically induced crisis of confidence..... They might when they get to 666 appearances They already have - Adam Lyth is number 666 and so far it isn't going particularly swimmin...

Noticed some Euro Cake advertising on the electronic boards during the Stoke Liverpool game. Never heard of it before our shirt deal - doesn't sound like a brand that will catch on here but they're obviously giving it a bit of a go.

Re: Squad Numbers

no number 4 assuming this might be for the guy incoming from Espanyol, Bond number 1 obviously tells you everything about who's going to be between the sticks. taylor 3 & Obita 11? what was obita's number last year? anything to read into that? Not saying Bond won't be first choice, but wouldn't...

Re: Paulo Hurtado

To write him off on the basis of half an hour in a friendly is daft.... My point was that 20 minutes today was no more of a basis to say he isn't ready than his cameo against Derby was a basis to say he's the new Ryan Giggs !! First half an hour, then 20 mins... What about the 45 minutes he actuall...

Re: Fixtures for 2015/2016

We started AWAY HOME HOME AWAY AWAY as our August games last season including a midweek game. Reading Fest is a week later this year but would have been away still on the equivalent weekend so wouldn't be surprised by a similar pattern this year. As for teams... not a clue but I'm gonna say Fulham f...
